Today I learned after reading a thread in another forum that apparently my daughters 4 & 6 yr old are freaks of todays society. They mind their manners and are respectful of others. ( thank you, please, may I, excuse me) They go to bed when asked. They don't back talk adults. The don't live in front of a t.v or rely on electronic stuff to have fun. They can be in an empty room and still be creative enough not to get bored. They don't go looking for junk food and delight in a wholesome meal and generally eat anything put on the plate.. They don't behave like cavemen when out in public. They don't whine, cry and throw fits to get something, they simply ask. And they are happy kids.
My daughter went through hell growing up but I must have done SOMETHING right to get grandunmenionables like these. I am BLESSED.

Today I learned that loss prevention people believe anyone can be intimidated. And they dont like it when you shout at them.
I also learned that the same loss prevention person is far less intimidating when, after you shout at them, they cant recover verbally, begin to stammer and wring their hands.
Lastly (its beena very informative day) I learned that running a department means no matter who gets in trouble, you get inconvenienced.

about a bird that waited too long to fly south for the winter. she finally decided to head south but old man winter breathed hard down upon her and no matter how fast and hard she flew, she started to freeze. she landed in a pasture and closed her eyes and knew she was about to die. suddenly it got very dark and she was warm. she lifted her head to see what had happened and saw a cow walking away. she was so happy to be warm that she started singing. the old barn yard cat heard her and went immediately to her, dug her out, and ate her.

just because somebody shits on you doesn't make them your enemy. if shit happens don't sing about it because the person that gets you out, isn't necessarily your friend.

Today I learned that twin 6-week old unmentionables drool ALOT!! I think my shoulders were water logged by the time they passed out. Not sure that shirt will ever be the same.
