Was it or wasn't it his skin color

OK, I'll play along...

Yes, it was the color of his skin that brought out a few more black voters because, hey, it was a tiny bit of history for this Nation to have someone who wasn't white as President. The rest believed he was more politically sound than the opposition candidate. Oddly enough, each election was not won by a slim margin, but a significant margin.

So, what exactly is your point about his skin?

Equally important: What's the evidence for it?

We elected someone based on the color of his skin because we have an elitist media who thought that was a good idea

Actually we elected Barack Obama because the Republicans ran idiots.

At the same time, plenty on the left like to rant and rail against FOX News because it is the only conservative or middle-of-the-road network and they cant stand dissent. Can't stand another viewpoint that might rattle their thought process

Not at all. They object to FOX's tendency to invent the news and to confuse commentary (opinion pieces) with journalism.

I doubt the journalism situation will improve much from here, either

I don't see much hope for that either.

And people still voted by overwhelming majority over candidates that were well known. Still not seeing your point.

1) I thought your topic was journalism? Aren't you usually whining about people staying on topic?

2) I don't influence the elections -- first we had the McCain/Palin circus, then the Bush-on-Steriods vs. Bush Lite option.

3) I thought you didn't believe in making posts about posters instead of the topic?

Not at all -- I just answered your point -- you're whining about Bush Lite, while Republicans ran clowns. That's how he got elected twice.

And me calling him Bush Lite has nothing to do with your OP. I thought you didn't believe in trolling about people instead of topics? I'm flattered, though.

...in which case I'm not evading the point.

See how that works?

My thoughts on your posts exactly.

Nicely summarized.

Want a nice summary

You, the entire leftist nation, and many in the middle were sold what you call "George Bush" when you thought you were buying something entirely different

No one likes the fool save for other fools

And we have a far left sycophant media that no longer does its job to blame

Nope. Bush Lite won because the Republicans couldn't offer any viable choice -- first the McCain/Palin circus, then the Bush-on-Steriods nonsense (even the right wing media noted their penchant for gross factual misrepresentation). Especially the second term, he should have been beatable.

The media is a mess--FOX among them, but there hasn't been journalism in this country for a few decades.

Do you just open your mouth to change feet?
One would think that a grown right wing asshole would know that presidents in the u.s. are appointed. It says so right in the constitution. You know the part about the electoral college.
We have been appointing presidents based on the color of their skin since george washington. Should you ever acquire access to a history book written for someone beyond the fifth grade you might look it up. every one of dem punks was a white guy...well up until this one. He acts just like the previous white guys so whats your beef?
Do you always have a big bowl of stupid for breakfast?

No, because the Republicans are constantly slammed and maligned by the far left media, and Bush Jr was held up as the messiah

The second coming of Ghandi, MLK, JFK and Lincoln all rolled into one

Forget the Republican choice that you are so obsessed over, thats beside the point. Why didnt the Dems nominate someone who was more known

Why wasnt Barack Obama properly vetted

Dog knows they vetted the holy shit out of all the Republicans you mentioned, no closet went unopened
