* shrug *

Denial about the quality of the candidates is one of the key reasons Republicans keep losing elections.

They double down on ridiculousness, rather than wake up and win.

Obama was beatable. Republicans were more interested in right-wind agendas.

America wasn't.

As if leftists send up decent candidates

Leftists screamed that they loved McCain when Bush was sent up... That all changed when he actually got the nod

McCain became the great Satan, and you can whine about Palin all you want but seriously, try to say with a straight face that Joe Biden is a decent Vice President

All lies and bs on your part

Want a nice summary

You, the entire leftist nation, and many in the middle were sold what you call "George Bush" when you thought you were buying something entirely different

Let me see You are saying that the guy with the big ears is really your buddy bush in disguise and you are not happy?
Why?

No, because the Republicans are constantly slammed and maligned by the far left media, and Bush Jr was held up as the messiah

Since anyone with more than one brain cell and a pulse can use google to find out who owns the media, one can only assume that you are lacking one of the above.

Why didnt the Dems nominate someone who was more known

He seems to be well enough known to be appointed to the presidency of the u.s.

Why wasnt Barack Obama properly vetted

Shouldn't that question be directed at the right wing assholes who allowed this so called travesty?

Dog knows they vetted the holy shit out of all the Republicans you mentioned, no closet went unopened

The demopubs vetted the shit out of the republicrats but the republicrats are too phoquing stupid to vett the demopubs and you can't figgure out how the articulate guy with the big ears got elected?
Do your buy your stupid by the ton?

And still Republicans can't win elections.

Denial. It's hard to see when you're in it.

I respected McCain when he stood up to the Religious right in 2000. In 2008 in actively sought their endorsement and his running mate was right out of the RR. I respected McCain when he stood up to W on torture then he reversed himself and supported torture.

On pretty much every issue the McCain that people like me respected disappeared in 2008 so of course we didn't support him.

I did not support the lying piece of shit because he is a traitor. He admits it in his book. He collaborated with the enemy when he was a pow.

Was it or wasn't it his skin color

OK, I'll play along...

Yes, it was the color of his skin that brought out a few more black voters because, hey, it was a tiny bit of history for this Nation to have someone who wasn't white as President. The rest believed he was more politically sound than the opposition candidate. Oddly enough, each election was not won by a slim margin, but a significant margin.

So, what exactly is your point about his skin?

No one knew who he was

Interesting that you would say no one knew who he was. Have you forgotten that he was a United States Senator before he ran for the Presidency? How do you think he ended up there? Is the US Senate an All white boys club? Who do you think voted for him to become a United States Senator? I think you have just insulted the polity of this great nation. You have also insulted the voters. If the first time was a fluke, then, what about the second time?
