You mean the pink avatar with the letter "E" that looks like a folded-stock AK-form assault rifle with a forward grip?

So you really ,really want to compare the frequency differentials between terrorist attacks and mass shootings ,that really what you want to do muffin?

I wasn't making any frequency differential comparisons. I was addressing your point but I think you missed mine. I'll put it another way. There are a crap load of other ways, to kill a crap load of people, kids and/or adults, than small arms. For the purposes of this discussion, I wasn't aware that terrorists don't count. What if a terrorist uses a gun to kill ? Does that count ?

So terrorism is now the subject...yes there are other ways to kill....but the weapon of choice,in this country, seems to be guns...so let's not pretend we are talking about anything else.....okay

You're the one who applied terrorism to my analogy. I was simply trying to point out that there are more efficient ways to kill lots of people at once than a small arm. Then you accuse me of comparing frequency differentials between bombing and shooting thus moving the goal post to make a typical terrorist killing method off limits for the purposes of this discussion. When there are much more efficient ways to kill crap loads of people, passing more gun laws is like sticking your finger in a dike to try and stop the water.

But ok, I'll take anything terrorist like off the discussion table and simply make a point that no one has heard yet.......ENFORCE THE FREAKIN LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS!!!!

LMAO It's not the first time. My first avatar was a flashing semi auto hand gun with pink grip panels from the choices they give us on Collarspace. There were several people here referring to me as she. Then some one who participates on this forum sent me the .45 that I used for a long time. It may have been a bit off putting, especially on the other discussion forums so I went to this one.

I've always advocated love..........through superior fire power

Uh.........maybe a little cause it has a camouflage pattern

I certainly wouldn't want a mauve AK 47 though. If I ever have to defend myself from an invading communist alien, they might not take me seriously when I pull it out from under my trench coat.

I would think that your body count would go up because they'd be laughing so hard, even once the lead starts flying, it would take a few seconds for them to recompose. No?

God, how stupid do you have to be to make this post?

Nowhere did I advocate toppling the government as it now stands.

How stupid do you have to be to infer that have claimed that you advocate toppling the government as it now stands?

Yes I know you can change the government by voting (we went a long way in November toward doing just that) .
Where you capable of following the conversation you would know that no one would advocate overthrow unless the checks and balances and the rights of the people are cast away.

I know you're all huffy and puffy, munchkin, but getting all hissy with me over things you fabricate then claim I said just makes you look foolish.

Where have I claimed that people would advocate ovethrow in any other circumstance than tyranny.

The really difficult question I was asking, and I know that you may need a grown up person to help you to parse this gnarly concept was that the likelihood of armed insurrection being necessary (or effective) was next to nil.

I know you can't understand something as complex, but maybe you can get some help? Or perhaps you should sit nicely and watch while the grown-ups talk instead of yapping like a fool?

She was talking original intent and like most of you on the left argued that since you don't think a revolt could succeed it didn't mean what it meant.
Even if she were correct, and she knows nothing of fighting, it would not affect the original intent. Can you get your head around that?

I am pretty certain that you know fuck all about fighting too. I don't make any claim to speak for the left, and if you think that I don't believe that the original intent of the 2nd was to enable citizens to rise up against tyranny, the you're every bit as stupid as I believe you to be. Perhaps you could point out where you believe I made that claim. It would be a useful exercise, since (given your previous confusion where you thought my saying something was "a shame" meant I was advocating it) I know you have a few problems with comprehension, perhaps I can help you improve your english?

Yes thanks.

How are you getting on with your comprehension of "Law" and "Shame"?

Where on earth did I say you were advocating toppling any government? Where did I say that the 2nd was intended to help you topple the government as it now stands?

I'm ever so glad you've outlined the things that would make it justifiable to topple a government, now... halfwit... what is the likelihood that you would have to resort to armed insurrection in order to topple a government that took the checks and balances away?

First
It's unlikely. As long as we keep the 2nd Amendment we probably won't need it for what it was intended.
When you tell me that all we have to do to change government is vote you are implying that I prefer insurrection to voting, that I want to go straight to violence. That is the problem with you, you make statement like that based on a falsehood and then pretend that's not what you said. She was still trying to prove that today's situation somehow affected original intent. When is the last time I said you should change your weapons laws? Return the favor.
