To the OP
So the relationship is fairly new to both of you. What I would do is tell him that I understand this is new for him as well and I expect my dominant to be honest, even if they think the truth may hurt me. Explain how you feel about the lie and ask him to work on his dominance; i.e. truth telling. And then I would give him another chance.
