What the fuck is the american rightest?

SadisticPredator -> RE: It is no wonder the American right are so misinformed. (1/11/2015 6:33:16 PM)

It's amazing to me how fucking stupid the Left is about everything.

Steven Emerson is not a far-right contributor. He went to Washington, D.C., in 1977. He worked on staff as an investigator for the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee until 1982, and as an executive assistant to Democratic Senator Frank Church of Idaho. From 1986 to 1989 he worked for U.S. News and World Report as a senior editor specializing in national security issues. In 1988, he published Secret Warriors: Inside the Covert Military Operations of the Reagan Era, a strongly critical review of Ronald Reagan-era efforts to strengthen U.S. covert capabilities. In 1990, he joined CNN as an investigative correspondent and continued to write about terrorism.

The imbecile in question is actually a hard core Democrat.

Noooooo!!! It can't be...a Democrat portraying himself as an expert when he's not???

Ok Rightists at least mine would be spoken correctly.
I have never made a secret of the fact that I can't type, it was a typing error, more than a spelling one. The OP is still wrong on so many levels, including that the American conservatives are the intellectual vassals of Fox, which I for one virtually never watch.

I just watched the report and couldn't believe what he said. It is true that Birmingham has a large number of Muslims but there are also a lot of Hindus, Sikhs and other religions living quite happily together. I lived there and worked in the centre of Birmingham, my sister and her partner live and work there. We spent my birthday there just before Christmas and spent time shopping in the large German market which is there every year.

Such a shame that some viewers will believe the report because a so called expert reported it on TV.

"The American right" is also plural, so "are" was quite correct.

I dont recall saying he wasnt a Democrat, I wasnt really interested. The point was, is and will always be, Fox news fucked up again.

No doubt this bullshit is already being spewed on right wing web sites across the US.

tweakabelle -> RE: It is no wonder the American right are so misinformed. (1/12/2015 2:17:03 AM)

Please susie don't muddy the clear waters of Fox-TV's "fair and balanced" reporting with facts.

The right wing demographic that dominates Fox's viewers are interested in having their existing prejudices reinforced, not in receiving "fair and balanced' reporting of real events . That's why Fox appeals to them. Fox doesn't bother itself with pesky irrelevancies like 'facts'.

Thats my whole point Susie. The City of Birmingham is very cosmopolitan.

The dopey experts claim also included much of Europe.

Like the left wing doesn't? Do we really need to go down the road of exploring the fair and balanced reporting of ABC, CBD, NBC?

The whole response was fucked, and factually wrong,
but the fact that he was aiming to school you was such a huge irony spike I fell off and missed that part in my snorting.

bounty44 -> RE: It is no wonder the American right are so misinformed. (1/12/2015 5:54:09 AM)

isolated instances are not an indictment on an entire organization. and in this case, the "expert" you are mocking was more or less employing hyperbole, as opposed to stating straight facts. that he is being pilloried as much as he is, i take as evidence of the "islamophobia phobia" crowd reacting poorly to him.

whats interesting and also telling, is liberals' problems with fox---it truly does border on derangement. its been my experience that liberals who bash fox never actually watch fox. if they did, they would recognize that though on the whole the network is right leaning, it employs many people whose views are on the left. shepherd smith, bob beckel, chris Wallace, and greta van susteran, among others. further, on the majority of their shows fox brings in liberals constantly for commentary. thus their moniker "fair and balanced." no other network does that. there are barely any conservative voices on any of the mainstream media or cable network news/commentary shows.

and perhaps that's one of the problems here for liberals---all they hear and read all day long, is a non-disputed affirmation of their world view, so much so that when a dissenting side appears, it must therefore be wrong and paradoxically (since liberals are supposed to be all about tolerance) vilified if not destroyed.

Leftists indeed obsess over controlling the message, so that only their propaganda can be aired

And that FOX News steps out of line and is as wildly popular as it is for doing just that drives leftists literally insane (or makes them "deranged" as you say)

Tabloid news Politesub... I wonder where and who we learned it from?
