A lot of the adult toy stores are selling cheaper, lightweight, floggers (at least around here, they are), but why not just talk to him about it? maybe he has some ideas that he's never felt safe giving voice to, before?

Status: offline 		I agree with DS, communication is the key. Tell him what you want, what you like, let him know why you like it, what you get out of it and find out his likes/dislikes and why he likes or dislikes X,Y or Z.

Status: offline 		When I've seen these introducing the partner threads go wrong it's often comes down to trying to push things that are fun for you but not them into the relationship.

For example what does trying you up do for him, what will he get out of it?

Perhaps a leashed blowjob (if he's into blowjobs) would be a good place to start, if he can see that the leash allows him to control the blowjob, getting exactly what he wants, that might really help moving forward. Making sure that these activities are a lot of fun for him is the sort of thing that will be really important to have a hope of succeeding.
