There is already been a discussion ( http://www.collarchat.com/m_91092/tm.htm ) about to make this wonderfull website a paid website.

Hopefully the owner of this website would also reply.

I'm boring of all the people who write to me and they are no serious but mostly I think they are fakers.

Examples: After receiving a e-mail, there profile could be not found.
To this people I would say: GET A LIFE !

Another example: when I reply that I would meet them with a webcam and chat on Skype (magic word!) then they never reply.

Therefore I'm sure that are Here more fakers then serious people.

I got an idea to solve this problem.

If You wanted to write the first letter to someone that it cost $ 10, only for the first e-mail.
Then after the first e-mail, you can reply and have contact so much that you wanted without any payment with this member.

I would advice that we pay $ 30 in advance for 3 e-mails and that you can connect with 3 different members ( 10 $ each for the first e-mail )

This is my idea that solve the problem with fakers.

How do members and the owner about this idea?

If collarspace.com were to become a paid site, I'd be deleting my profile and looking elsewhere.

If the forums were to remain as is then I would still lurk, read and occasionally comment. I would not pay to participate in the forums.

If you want a site like this but pay I'd suggest going to alt.com. However, I have to warn you going pay doesn't solve the problems you are complaining about, they are much worse over there.

Welcome to the world of online communities.

"Fakers" vs "serious" has always been part of every online community, regardless of the subject matter, continues to be an issue, and forever will be an issue, regardless of what options a community sets up to try and stop it. From what I can see over the years I have had an account here, this community is many things to many different people and from what I gathered from the OP was that they wish to more narrowly define what this community is about. What they consider "faker" may be "serious" for another and without explicitly defining the parameters of what this community believes, it is difficult to define what is a "true" faker vs a "true" serious person.

Perhaps there are other online communities that have a more focused user community in terms of meets the OP's definition of "serious" and if so, perhaps they should seek those out. From what I have seen of CollarSpace through the years is that it is a wide-open, loosely defined set of criteria that defines our interests and personally, I do not think that should change.

Lucy for once we disagree but I don't think collarspace is the right site for such a thing. Collarspace is meant to be inclusive for all kinksters, including those not seeking relationships. There are other paid sites with smaller membership with primarily relationship seekers. Just google one of those. (Not ALT)

Make people pay for this site to solve your lack of success here? I've met several people from this site. No no shows, no fakers. Perhaps the issue isn't the people of this free site.

Considering that my first e-mail to my man was to essentially make fun of the llamas in his photo, I would vote "no" as to a pay-per-e-mail scheme.

Im specifically talking about the "dating" part, as Im here not looking for anyone....so i have no use for it. Even if I were , I wouldnt pay for it. But....different strokes for different folks:)
