is it just me and my computer? - 8/26/2015 8:10:57 PM As has been said, and if you could check your system time and date, bottom right corner of windows taskbar. Desktop PC or laptop? And did you buy it before 2010. Batteries rarely go, possible, but unlikely. But with that simple line if you bought it 2010 or after - seems like a clock/bios reset. Reasons ranging from you have been into the BIOS settings and reset values accidentally, a bit of grumbling hardware reset it for you, malware, new app, cmos battery - which costs about 2-4 dollars. I have never once in my lifetime had to replace a CMOS battery on anyone’s pc/laptop. To replace A (CMOS) battery on a destop PC will take a novice 10-20 minutes and there are plenty of videos on you tube. Laptops are bit more difficult and off to the shop with it unless you know someone who can take out about 20 screws and ribbons and their daft wee fiddly clips and assemble it all back in almost the right order.
