I am not sure which new mod decided to embarrass themselves like this? I'm sure it is a brand spanking new mod because most all the old ones have my phone number or would have sent an email. Changing my forum rank title to say to publicly say "Stop it, RS. Dont be an ass" on the forums instead of contacting me only reflects on their lack of manners and childish disrespect for our forum protocols by not sending me a letter.

Besides being childish, it is a seriously inadequate communication in that I have no way to determine which of my posts they're talking about? How can I stop if I do not know what has their panties in a twist? I am not quite sure which asinine thing of the potential 86 snark bait spam threads they are referring to? There are 86 threads posted by 3 people with Kik sexting links, some frantic one handed wanker in basement and some hookers posting their rates . . . care to clarify which of my snark replies inspired you to spend your mod privileges insulting me instead of doing your job and cleaning up this trash pile of a forum?

Abusing the forums for a rude personal message had previously been frowned upon, against the rules even.... by breaking the rules you're supposed to help enforce doesn't reflect well on you or Eric's new team. Don't the new mods don't give a fuck about the rules, cleaning the forums or even being polite?

I think I am owed an apology and the restoration of my [Awaiting Approval] forum rank text... but what do you think?

A pic for reference should things change. After Mod Wars I (or was it II), during a mass mod firing Eric uncovered their shenanigans by looking at the server deletion logs. The logs didn't prove what their their shenanigans were, but it showed that something was going on... the likes of which would make for more than one Jerry Springer show. So the mods lost the privilege to delete anything, they could just lock it up and let it sink.

I have always been a friend to CollarMe and staff...

I was personal friends in real life with two of the mods before they became mods and eventually became friends with all of the lead mods over the years. We would chat on the phone socially now and then, I would do some artwork for the site now and then. So yes, I probably enjoyed some degree of biasism over the years. However, they didn't let me post shit they felt was TOS, even if I felt they were wrong about their interpretation of the TOS... so I wasn't given extra leeway. In fact, sometimes it meant I had a rougher time in my posts because the mods knew I was a big boy and could handle my own hecklers. So they didn't always delete the insults they would have for others. They knew I would craft replies to direct any snark at the hecklers actions or comments, not the hecklers themselves, thus keeping within the TOS and intent of the forums.

Like this thread calling the mod that did this out on the tiles... I can handle myself.

This is why I could never be a moderator here or group owner on Fet. If I did something, I have too big a mouth to hide behind the mod tag or to do it without being excruciatingly clear about why I was doing it. Which, of course, would upset all the special little snowflakes. That being said, RS, I may not always agree with what you say but I've never seen you say anything so far out of line that it needed any interference. It's a sad commentary that this comes from somebody whose job is to set the example, even if that's not explicitly stated.

The mod tag is a funny thing, like a cops badge, to some people it goes to their head as a symbol of prestige. To me, when I was a mod (other forum), it meant I was a public servant, forum janitor, doorman and keeper of the gate. I just didn't see it as prestige like some of the old mod staff. They let it go to their heads becoming megalomaniacs.

Unless Eric himself did this just to fuck around with me, how blind must you be to make an ass out of yourself while calling someone else an ass?

Not all the old mods were fanboys of the ResidentSadist... I don't expect that from the new ones either. But if this isn't Eric, you should do what they did before you tangle with me, use your head because I do.

When the exact same thing happened to me, the chief mod, at the time (Gamma), told me I needed to get a sense of humor. I didn't see anyone coming to my defense, then, but the C³ moves in lock-step ways.

How does it feel you ask? Being a sadist, it's my nature to help out when someone is being humiliated. I think that mod embarrassed themself... pointing it out in this thread warms my sadistic little heart. No victim empathy for me please.

In fact, an ex mod friend wrote me and said, "as far as calling you out that way, nearly an entire group of mods were bounced largely for that reason." Calling this thread to Eric's attention might even give that mod a cheap thrill wondering if they will get canned for breaking the rules and humiliating the CollarMe management like that.

However, despite the "ban the mod" choice in the poll, I don't really care if that mod makes fucking with my forum rank text their life's work. I have been a sincere and informative thread starter for many very good threads over the years. My post history speaks for itself.

So at one time they they hit your mod rank** text too? What did it say?

What it said doesn't matter. After I called out the C³ for what they were, they went on a tear with their "shadow government" bullshit. I believe you were intimately familiar with that little bit of hilarity, at my expense.

In a thread, around that time, people were discussing what you call a "mod rank" (I always heard it referred to as "forum rank", but be that as it may ...). I specifically stated that I was happy with the ones that were established in the software itself.

Sure enough, one of the main instigators of the thread, poking fun at me (under their mod name) decided to change my forum rank, just to be a douche canoe.

When I wrote a c-mail to Gamma, asking if this kind of behavior reflected well on the site, he told me that I needed to have a sense of humor. Lo-and-behold, the next day, that's how my forum rank read ("needs a sense of humor"). It was at that point that I took my complaint further up the food chain.

The next day, I couldn't log onto the forums and I was told that it was "just a glitch". To his credit, Gamma spent quite some time, helping me resolve the issue (but I still don't believe it was a glitch).

Less than a week later, the C³-controlled mods were ousted.

Actually I read somewhere maybe in fetlife, someone else who knows mod3 in real life says she's really a nice person and some of the fetlife complains about her seems totally the opposite of her real life character.

But oh well, for me, I've been in online forum and chat rooms all my life. And seen this.
For some people in life, being a cyber world moderator with Super Powers to subjugate people is the closest thing they will ever have to having any real power to exert her authority over people, and it gets to their head and blown up, she is classic.

I would be terrified if she was ever running for President.
