you get an emphatic "you're a stupid cunt" from me having read the rest of the posts here so far

In this particular case the word "cunt" might be considered an alcolade.

Along the same lines, one of the first things I thought of after hearing tonight's news was how the front page of Le Monde famously said "Nous sommes tous Americains" after 9/11.

Yes this looks like the worst attack since 9/11 and France should get the same kind of support from the world that we did right after the attack.

I dunno about worst since 9/11. The London attacks were pretty bad, as I remember?

Edit: nm. Only 52 victims + 4 suicide bombers on 7/7/2005.

There are reports of as many as 160 dead in Paris.

As you say, about a third as many victims in London. That was bad, I think this is worse. On top of that this seems to be better organized.

How many need to be killed for it to classify as horrific and really bad?
Is this something we are supposed to learn to live with?
Like a parallel universe?

It looks it, yes. There must have been a *lot* of planning behind this one. The reported number of casualties keeps rising - 160 so far.

Actually I would hope that France receives more support than the US did after 9/11.

Not that it's a competition, but there were 385+ deaths in the Chechnian school siege in 2004.

Lots more.

Yes, learn to live with it. As long as our so-called world leaders see climate change as our number one global threat, ISIS is the JV team, and is contained, then it will continue.

Depends on your view of parallel universes. There are several theories about that.

My mind just can't justify giving these bastards "credit" for achieving a higher level of evil.

I don't do grief well, but I'm great with anger.

And attacks like this just proves that our efforts need to be redoubled.

Sorry. The efforts against ISIS, and other terrorist organizations that are wreaking havoc in the world need to be redoubled.

I know coming from me the following must seem like a joke...but... what will it take to get the UN to gather a real force of arms and clean that vermin from the face of the earth? If we cannot get the UN to act in the face of these repeated atrocities then it is time for the US to pull its political and financial support and force its death.

one

But more deaths make it even worse.
I never said anything wasn't bad, I just said that this is the worst in 14 years.
