the violence you refer to in the bible is the historical record of the old testament; they are not the prescription by which Christians today are admonished to live. to my knowledge, the same cannot be said about the Koran, where explicit commandments involving "violence" are still in practice today.
liberals are fond of (unjustly & wrongly) accusing Christians of adhering to some parts of the bible while ignoring others. in my experience that is often founded in their, that is the liberals', ignorance of the bible and the difference between the testaments. its happily ironic they are not looking at the moderate muslims and telling them the same thing.

This is exactly why I'd rather live amongst Christians than Muslims! Even though I get called all kinds of names for my non belief at times I don't risk a beheading. Christians have evolved! To throw out a single instance of Christian extremism to justify what's going on with Muslims is an idiocracy! How ever much I would like to trust them, looking at the last 1400 year's I simply can not since jihaad is still practiced to this day on a daily basis. What Christians did to Europe's pagan religions and the American Indians I can't condone but at least the vast majority has changed its ways. Muslims still live in the dark ages.
That's why on this side of the pond there are mental asylums for people like you, shame that Saint Ronny closed them down and you are still allowed to roam wild. Luckily you don't amount to much, the rabid rabble who hates everybody because they never had education and need to look down on somebody even lower on the scale (or who they thought was lower on the scale) was always there throughout history. History hasn't changed much, hope somebody gives you bread and games to make you feel better, you are obviously in sore need of it, though you could always get viagra.
You just have NO idea about society, but it's not your fault, I wouldn't expect somebody who never learned basic things to be able to handle cutlery or move among people who don't raid bins for a living. I really pity you, your life must be very very one dimensional. Try to look up the history of Christianity (libraries are free, so is the internet, so it shouldn't put you out of pocket), burning people for saying the earth is not the center of the universe, torturing people to admit to "consorting with the devil" so the church could confiscate their belongings... Holy Inquisition rings a bell? People targeting funerals in the name of Christ....
Read the bible? Read the OT? Yeah, Christianity mellowed a lotm had to to survive, Islam is 600 years younger, go back 600 years in the history of Christianity and you find barbarism and slaughter like you can't imagine. A few extremists support ISIS, a few extremists support the Westboro Baptist Church, the majority of Muslims is peaceful, apparently the fact that ISIS killed mostly Muslims and isn't popular amongst Muslims completely escaped you, I don't blame you, you obviously lack the education and IQ to process information.
Yes I have read both books, I happened to invite a Muslim girl to share my house a while ago and we had plenty of discussions about religion and read both books, you should try it, reading I mean. It honestly doesn't hurt.
