This conversation is going nowhere. Your notion of shooting at a small moving target being a better idea than shooting for center of mass is wrong for all the reasons I've listed previously.

Until you are able to provide a credible source stating shooting at the feet is a better idea than shooting at center of mass I will consider this issue closed.

It's the Thompson MO. Make hay over some trivial point and derail the thread. It seems to me he's still extolling the virtue of shooting at the lower extremities and backtracking at the same time.

If anyone is fucking dumb enough to shoot at someones foot, just take their gun away. I hate to say it but fuck it.

Shoot to kill and if they do not fall fast enough shot to kill again. However DO NOT shoot them after they fall unless they have a gun and are still moving.

I can't make it much simpler than that.

Because you wish to argue about something I did not say.

I say that shooting someone in the foot will stop them from running anywhere. I have not said that cops or anyone else teaches this. I have not said that shooting someone in the com will not stop them.

The article you cited supports my contention that the minimum amount of force needed to preserve your life is what is legal. If you are too poor of a shot or too eager to kill someone you will do as you choose, it is no skin off of my ass.

Perhaps if you got an adult to read it to you it might make more sense.

You missed a bunch of stuff like "try reading a history book written for someone beyond the fifth grade" and "do you have any validation for that stupid shit you post".

Yeah, something like "open wide to insert your other foot".

I can guarantee you if you are shot in the foot you are no longer a threat.

At no point in this conversation did you say "shooting someone in the foot will stop them from running anywhere" (until now). You said shooting someone in the foot "guarantees" they are "no longer a threat". If this was the case, everyone would be taught to aim for the feet. However, no one is taught to aim at the feet. Aiming low at a shooting range will more than likely get you removed from a range for reasons including but not limited to the increased chance of ricochet.

Prove me wrong by successfully shooting a mobile, foot-sized target from 25 yards while under duress and I will donate $100 to the charity of your choice. This is the second offer I've made to your allegedly superior marksmanship. Surely for someone with abilities such as yours this task would be extremely simple.

A guy down the street, family Man, business owner, is dead because o the fucing idiocy you profess. He did. Sot the robber in the arm and leg. If he had missed a bunch of times I would say it was poor shooting but he took two shots and hit with both of them, right where he intended it seems.

So this fucking thug turns around and with his good arm kills him.

Tell that stupid shit to the cops, or most CCW holders and anyone even remotely trained in these matters and they will tell you you are full of shit. I can GUARANTEE you are talking out your ass. When you start this "well just wound them" shit you demonstrate a huge lack of experience in the matter. Where did you grow up, in a gated community where you were protected ? The fuck is wrong with you ?

You shoot to kill period. Period. You drop the motherfucker and if it moves you put more holes in until it does not move. These animals do not respect your life, so guess what.

But I do know this, a good guy is DEAD because of the type of unthinking you have touted here.

In fact, always shoot twice anyway. Cops come I would tell them "Well because this isn't all that powerful of a gun".

Fucking idiot. Maybe YOU shouldn't have a gun because in the process of trying to save the life of some fucking animal you might shoot an innocent bystander instead.

In fact while we are on the subject, I think they should only sell hollow points for use in the city. this is because they don't go through the target on to hit something behind. Plus they do alot more damage to the target, which should be dead when you get done. IF you have used your killing tool properly.

Graphic my ass.

How about the olman. Sitting at the bar minding his own business when one guy shoots another. Fucker is laying there moaning like the thug in that video. Guy who shot him gets sick of it and borrows a hammer off the bartender and hammers the guy to death with it. And then there was my buddy's olman who owned a bar that the cops would not even go in to. (except off hours, some of them would) My buddy worked for his olman cleaning the bar every night and one night there was a fight and the olman told him that if he could find an eyeball on the floor he would give him a hundred bucks.

I would cut a person in half with a bowling ball if they proved not to be up to snuff as a human. That means doing certain things, like creeping around my house n shit. Breaking in, stealing my shit. Fucking with my family.

But I have a hard time squishing a bug. I let spiders go outside. I would not even think of hurting an animal although I have played rough with some dogs and had top smack them to settle them down because they can get too worked up. but I would never hurt them is in cause injury.

But people ? Born with all this cognitive ability and capacity and they abandon it ? That is worse than an animal. Homo sapiens are among the very few species that preys upon its own kind. It is nice when the prey becomes the predator.

But Thompson is perfect in everything he touches. He makes Roy Rogers look like Blind Freddy when it comes to shooting a gnats eye out at 500 paces and he WROTE Encyclopaedia Americana and bases most of his facts on Google. you really shouldn't argue with him. It upsets him and he tends to throw tantrums and start calling people names. The original keyboard bully.

Yesterday a NY ppolice officer was chasing a "suspect".
The "suspect" stopped and shot him in the foot as per the advice of one poster.
The officer, after being shot in the foot returned fire stricking main body mass and the "suspect" is in critical condition.
