Has this ever happen to you? I met an overweight female submissive who wants to change. I agree to be her Dom and have her come to my place. I begin lecturing her on body building and, get this, she starts checking her cellphone while I'm talking about myself! I have learned a lot and I want to teach her and she needs to listen! How rude! She complains that I check my cellphone while she talks but that's different because she isn't trying to teach me anything. It would be the same thing as going into a college classroom and checking your cellphone while the Professor is lecturing. It's just plain rude! ***** I edited this to apologize for venting. I didn't mean to make this sound like a vent. I wanted to know if anyone else have come across this - lecturing someone and they check their cellphones while lecturing. It's so frustrating!

It is perfectly possible to listen and do something else at the same time. Is it polite? Not to me, but, it'll happen so, either ignore it or refuse to teach her.

I can't say I've come across this -- if someone thinks that lecturing me about their greatness is proper behavior, I just remove myself from their company. No cell phone required.

I've never needed to lecture a sub on the benefits of doing what I want them to, or the punishments for not doing it that are outside of my control. I have had to tell a slave that if I wanted to hear so much jibberjabber, I'd be watching The View.

Sounds like maybe you all had not really come to a meeting of the minds. You said you agreed to be her Dom but had she made/expressed her desire to be your sub? Most likely she decided during that meeting that she was really not interested. it sounds like you were viewing this almost as a personal trainer/client relationship. Perhaps she was looking for a more traditional D/s relationship where the nutrition/body building were just part of it. Rude?? Yeah. I am a big believer in manners and being considerate so...yeah...the polite thing to do would have been for her to feign interest for a short amount of time and then politely find an excuse to end the meeting and state that she didn't think you two were compatible. Sadly, it is not just women who are rude or young people or men...manners have become a lost art form in recent times.
