My 12y.o. daughter and I saw "Deadpool" last night. I was warned about the strapon scene by a parent who wouldn't alliow her kid to see the movie because of it. It was such a quick little scene that it didn't faze my kid at all (she found the unicorn scene during the end credits to be both funny and disturbing and typical Deadpool).

I would say the strapon episode of Broad City was more of an "open the floodgates" thing.

But it was cute.
I loved the movie.

My little human keeps begging me to take him to see it. I think I may make him wait now.

Yeah, it's definitely not a kids movie. There's a reason it got an R rating. I would wait.

If people have to choose between Kick Ass and Dead Pool, which one?

I can't even decide, I love Deadpool for the romance. But I love Kick Ass for the action.

Hmmmm, I choose the first Kick Ass over Deadpool... maybe not the franchise though. I'm interested to see future Deadpools because of how it ties in with the X-Men universe. From memory, the Kick Ass sequels weren't too good.

But... then again Deadpool was soooo hyped and I didn't even know about Kick Ass before I saw it. Deadpool has a bit of a hype handicap, in that it had to live up to expectations... whereas with Kick Ass I don't really think there were any expectations.

WikedsDesire,
Hell... I'm sorry mate. I went to put you on hide and then I thought. I'm hiding a guy for calling me names after I called him names... I shouldn't have gone there. My bad. I'm not going to lie, your posts frustrate the hell out of me, but that's my problem not yours. Hope there's no hard feelings about all that stuff I said.

We went to the movies last night to see Race, and as we passed by the Deadpool poster he said that he had heard from some other kids at school that they couldn't go see it because their parents wouldn't let them, that it wasn't for kids. So he is okay on not going. Thank god.

That episode of Broad City had me laughing because we all know at least one person who is a "strapon connoisseur"

Not sure about Broad City, will have to look it up.

The thing about the strapon scene in "Deadpool" is that my belief is that it will have a much more positive - yet subtle - impact on mainstream perception of the act.

Hear me out. Most of the time, any kind of "pegging" in mainstream is done in a way that is a goof, or the male on the receiving end is a buffoon, or horny and ignorant, and the woman is a caricature. The whole scene either portrays pegging as weird, or the participants in an unfavorable light.

Deadpool is super mainstream. The character who gets pegged is respected - a "hero" - and maybe this is a tiny step toward pegging being not only ok and just a variety of sex, but cool. Hey, if Deadpool is still a "man" after being fucked with a fake dick, then maybe strapon sex is not so bad.

And imagine how many subs are now able to open the discussion with the GF/wife after the movie.

I still have not seen it but plan to.

I think this is the only time I have heard of pegging/strapon stuff being portrayed in at least a neutral, if not positive light.

The thing with Deadpool is that he IS a goof, not "respected", an ass and basically all-around merc with a mouth. He iterates numerous times that he's not a superhero...just a bad guy who kills badder guys.

And the comics like to give the possibility that Deadpool might, just might swing both ways, but we'll never know. It's just subtle enough to make you go "hhmm".

The strap-on scene has him hating every moment of the pegging by saying "noooo no no" as he grimaces as she saddles up behind him. There's nothing about the scene that will be seen in some kind of a positive or mainstream light. It is a laughing point of a feminist caricature.

Quite. In my day it was watching Preaching to the Perverted and that stupid bloody Whitley Streiber flick that did that.

Cell I never hold any grudges ever, unless its man pretending he is a women or man/women I view as dangerous piece of sophistry- not that I go about following their malarkey two worlds collide at times

Hmm kickass or Deadpool
