NO NOT FOR THE FORUMS.
I think we have all proved that.

Actually, since this thread started I have gotten action from the mods.

mnottertail -> RE: Do we have active Mods anymore? (4/27/2016 9:54:03 AM)

Try the men's room at the Minneapolis airport. I'm sure you'll have better luck there. [8D]

I've recently had fun there and actually realized a few lingering prejudices that I had I wasn't aware of that I've been a bit introspective of since.

Oh no, though a few specific posters have done their level best to make sure nobody does, yourself among them.

Is that your current address? I had heard you had moved.

OsideGirl -> RE: Do we have active Mods anymore? (4/27/2016 5:59:20 PM)

I've also noticed that we no longer have the ability to reply to Introductions. So, when people ask questions.....there are no answers....

stef -> RE: Do we have active Mods anymore? (4/27/2016 6:12:59 PM)

That's not new. They took away the ability to respond to intros and naughty love posts a while ago. It came back briefly then poofed again.

I'm probably partially to blame for it going poof again since I lit up that guy that plagiarized someone else's writing as posted it as his own.

Part of the reason for the current reputation is problems like this.
They may have dug themselves a hole they can't get out of.

When I first joined this site ('06), the reputation already seemed to be running 50-50 (at least from the people I knew).

I wasn't here two weeks and I understood why. It was during the reign of terror (a moderator that was definitely friendly to the C³).

No, the trouble here is: for too long, this has been seen as the "private playground" of a select few and the people of whom they approve. The half of the people that warned/tried to dissuade me from this site had told me about that. You and I (and a few others) are just stubborn enough not to let the bastards grind us down.

Michael

What ? You think I am syubborn?
Me?
That is disapointing, I am not stubborn, I am strong willed.

I can't believe I missed this! You and I are of a kind, my friend. I refuse to believe I'm stubborn, also!

Michael

Aaaaaaand, it's back again, in intros at least. Still MIA in naughty love.

Michael

that helps to explain why people like mnottertail and Thompson are allowed to stay.

Weren't they among the people that 3 banned?

Lucylastic -> RE: Do we have active Mods anymore? (5/8/2016 7:37:12 AM)

Lets not talk about 3....most of us oldies in here(P&R) and elsewhere got banned by 3.

There doesn't seem to be any moderator presence at this time.
There are people saying things in the politics and religion section posting things that one would think would get long time bans.
Accusations of mental illness, drug use, child molestation, and incest to name a few and the mods seem to be sitting on their hands.
What's up?

one of the posters just referred to either me or nnanji, as a "child molester."

I believe he should be banned from the forums.

OsideGirl -> RE: Do we have active Mods anymore? (12/14/2016 7:23:00 PM)

You can send a link to support on the other side. That sometimes gets their attention.

bounty44 -> RE: Do we have active Mods anymore? (12/15/2016 5:00:54 AM)

thank you. I did that last time around to no avail but I did it again last night.

the offending post has been removed, but it remains to be seen if the offender has or not. history leans towards not.

DaddySatyr -> RE: Do we have active Mods anymore? (12/15/2016 5:08:56 AM)

Bounty, being a baseball fan, I know that you can appreciate what many can't: sometimes, it's about addition by subtraction (removing a player that's "cancer in the clubhouse").

Let's face it: some people can brighten a room (or a website) by leaving it. It's a shame that those that truly are distractions and subtractions can't get more help, leaving.
