But if she's giving you long lists of things and expecting to keep them afterwards, then no.

She doesn't know your budget. Or doesn't care about it. And if you aren't interested in trying some of the things, then that's a waste of money.

However, there's no reason to buy anything before you've even met for coffee. You might decide not to progress to playing together in which case you have time to accumulate a toy bag. You buy it, you own it, is the rule.

Status: offline 		I'm guessing that this is a play session BDSM relationship - since most Dominants in a D/s relationship would want to purchase and then collar their submissive.

So - going into a new BDSM play relationship, it's not unreasonable for the Top to request that the bottom to buy things that will get bodily fluids on them...hoods, gags, insertables, cutting instruments etc. Just to prevent the possibility of spreading scary things.

And also to be fair....being a Top is expensive. The price of equipment quickly adds up.

Status: offline 		Someone has to pay for all that stuff. If it is going to be used on you, for you, then you pay. No one else would have use for items used on you. However, I do agree with others that it's too soon to be buying expensive equipment. First you need to meet face to face. Then you can decide if this other person is someone you would want for a Master or Mistress. Then, since you both communicate well, you explain that you can not afford all that stuff right away, but can gradually accumulate items as time goes by.

Status: offline 		Perhaps OK, but depends on the items. I had one online that wanted to have me buy all personalized stuff and that was fine, and we discussed budget. Then he pushed for a standing cage and a bondage table, running into big money and well over the budget we had agreed on. Also wanted me to purchase all the items from some friends of his, and post money up front. OK. I am applying for a sub role so I guess he had the right to be demanding, but the $, plus no place to put such big items and the upfront payment to friends of his...it seemed like a big scam to me. BE CAREFUL!

I have told you, many times, to behave >50% of the time have I not? i would prefer >90% of the time.
