Dude, not smart. Some of us are from the South. We have guns and we know how to use them, remember? Just ask anyone. :)

What, you forget what "Blow your doors off" means ? It means to beat you so bad in a car race that you are just about more embarrassed than if she asks "Is it in yet ?".

That means your high stall convertor but no hot cam, Muncie junk transmission, is beat by my luxury cars. I beat Vettes with the fucking air running. I am from a car family. And really I am not so sure I wnat to give out the secrets, like how cousin bones literally ripped the front bolts out of the front seats in that 642. (442 with tripps under the hood and modified suspension) I did not work on that project but I would say if you rip the front bolts out of the front seats in a cars you pretty much got the suspension optimiised.

So my Uncle, the Dad of the main kid who died, moved to Florida. For decades earning and supporting his family and then getting his retirement.

Tech specialist at IBM, he got the jobs others could not do. Let's see Ron call him a welfare patient.

Know what ? Maybe voting should be based on if you have any skill. What we do now is not working.

Look, there's one inescapable reality with the southern states - the average family is a lot worse off than those in the northern states. Take a look at the average state household incomes. In particular take a look at the bottom ten: Oklahoma; South Carolina; New Mexico; Louisiana; Tennessee; Alabama; Kentucky; Arkansas; West Virginia and Mississippi.

People retire to some Southern states because the cost of living is lower. It has to be, because the levels of income are lower. Consequently, housing is cheaper and if you've made your retirement income up north, it makes a certain amount of sense to retire to a cheaper Southern state with warmer weather.

Red states DO get more federal assistance than blue states because red states are usually poor and uneducated and led by Republicans who stoke people's fears in order to get re-elected. These motherfuckers then turn around and sell out their constituency to the first corporation that comes calling with dollars in hand.

And, of course, these states stay poor and uneducated because the last thing a Republican politician wants is for his constituents to gain understanding and opportunity - so it's to their advantage to keep their constituents on a cycle of federal welfare while simultaneously claiming that single mothers and immigrants are sending the country broke. (This, while handing out corporate welfare on a massive scale. Honestly, to be a Republican politician you have to be a total cunt.)

Republican politicians want the red states to blame Washington for all their problems - because if their people woke up and started asking questions, they might not like where the answers lead them.

Yes I know what blow your doors off means. I was referring to the southern stereotype that we all walk around with guns blazing down here, which means I could blow more than just your doors off, if you believe the hype.

It was tongue in cheek.

I even included a smiley.

God you people are humorless.

You expect a cogent answer from me after an attempted insult ? If you worked for Big Blue you are probably the asshole they transferred to keep my Uncle from quitting.

What's more, there are a bunch of Gays and Bis on this site and using it as an insult is not nice here. Not that I am but I do stand for the rights of others as they stand for mine.

And none of my family is Gay or even has any visible tattoos and not one male even with an ear piercing, let alone an earring.

No, you can go fuck yourself, and I have never expected anything cogent from you, because you are not.
Oh, well you stand with gays then, since you insulted them.

You are assuming this fruit is grown in land with sufficient minerals.

Please do not make your assumptions my assumptions. The typical vegetarian (which I currently am not) would know twice or thrice times more about mineral content of various foods than general society, which goes more than halfway to explaining that choice in the first place.

But if you think it through, however much the fruits and vegetables have been denuded of nutritional value by agro-chem, that decline can have only been amplified as it goes down the line. All the corn and soybeans fed to cattle, and chickens, and hogs, etc. Not to mention all the biological intervention across the board in that endeavor.

The vast amounts of soy beans and corn in the US go much more to purpose of inputs to food processing , here and across the world, than to direct consumption.

quote:

Commercially farmed produce is very diluted in these essential minerals.

So this automatically translates to pizza and chicken wings and burgers having superior mineral content to mangoes and kale, right?

quote:

Vegetarians supposedly now have a shorter lifespan, and I would suspect it is because of mineral deficiencies.

As usual, you suspect everything and prove nothing.

"As usual, you suspect everything and prove nothing. "

Mineral content of arable lands happens usually at a certain rate. Climate of different regions is not the only reason that these plants won't grow here but will there, like nuts for example. Where do they grow cashews, hint, it is not fucking Chicago. This refreshment of the soil is behad because of it sort of percolating, it rains, shit happens and the minerals come up. From time to time it floods which greatly enrichens the land.

When you increase the yield of a certain piece of land you pull more minerals out of it per pound. You are still getting the same amount but it is diluted and you got more pounds of produce to sell. Whether you sell 100 or 1,000 pounds of apples, they got X pounds of minerals in them. The rest is all carbon, hydrogen and oxygen - carbs. You cannot live on those three elements.

What they tell you about nutrition is false, if it wasn't we would not be so unhealthy. All this shit aout vitamin C, what about the Eskimos ? The ONLY place (I did research this) they could get vitamin C is eating whale skins raw. No cooking, it destroys vitamin C. There are a hell of alot of other things I want explained but I am not going to bring the up here, but suffice it to say I QUESTION EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. In fact that is what science does to itself to find out if it is actually science.

Oh, not to mention that you have disproved nothing. What proof you want ? a couple of gigabytes of files off my computers and maybe 100 links to scientific papers that will take a month to read ?

Just say so.

Or perhaps your perceptual capacity is lower. Especially in regards to the concept of 'real income.'

So then, the phenomenal number of migrants from North to South 30 years before retirement for better jobs and better overall conditions, for decades now, is in fact due solely to lower housing costs, is that it? If they are moving here en masse that long before retirement, what's going on up there?

Here's the news: Mississippi and Louisiana are in a bad way. The US South has far and away the greatest percentage of black people in the US, or, as percentage, anywhere in the Western world.

If all you asswipes want to show yourselves as the inveterate bigots and racists that you congenitally are, and think that beating people when they're down is the solution to world problems, then just keep on with it.

WTF is "red states"? crap made up by the media. (49.99 Democratic vote = "red state," if that isn't something custom made for natural-born dullwits, I don't know what is). In any case, ONE bank involved in the financial fiasco was based in the South, the rest (quite the mass of them) being based in NYC or London or Berlin or Zurich or Paris or Hong Kong.

Here's the latest; the US had a financial and hence economic crisis absolutely caused by "better educated" yankee fuckwit charlatan bankers.

I'm not arguing that we should "dumb people down," not at all. But it' is inarguable that it would benefit society to a great degree if at least some fewer yankees, and perhaps Australians, were involved in the process.

That's a bunch of unprovable shit there buddy, and I counter with that liberals offer welfare to what is the equivalent of N_____s.

Been that way for a while, the rich vote to pay less taxes and the poor vote for more welfare. And neither can do simple math like twenty trillion into 100 million. Not 300 million, 200 million of them do not even file taxes, let alone pay any. Try to run a country like that.

You've made your point, many times, by way of demonstration, that beer and pizza have many times greater the mineral content and vitamin C content of fruits or vegetables.

We can only be in awe by that discovery, for cause of evolution.

And yet with some of the best engineers and process engineers, and a few other things.

So what are you saying then, that these intellectually superior people like to live with hicks ?

Termy, get a grip, I've been in NC most the life, GA before and after, including now. Only in big cities, but a farmer's market never far away. Lived for stretches in rural Arkansas, SC, out in the sticks in NC, in Illinois, etc.

Turns out I'm a city guy, but I could never live comfortably with out reasonable proximity to the gals and guys doing the firsthand food production, which I participated in back in the day.

I've met more 'self sufficient' people than most have, and certainly more r/l organic growers on a weekly basis, buying directly therefrom, than many have.

Termy, get a grip. You have to at least consider the proposition that those who did the (sometimes extensive) research of diet in general, to begin with, before turning to partial or full-on vegetarianism, might have come across the agro-chem situation and the consequences. Just maybe.

Even with out steady diet of beer and pizza to get them to that phantasm of realization.
