Any fiction book , with any amount of BDSM, could point any number of people in the direction of real people, doing what they enjoy. Doesn't have to have the literary appeal of War and Peace, but just to be vivid enough to pique imaginations and spark a desire for like-minded people. Fifty Shades just happens to have hit a wider reading audience, who weren't afraid of being judged, and talked about it. Even though they had no intention of participating past a mild tingle in their nether regions.

oh well good point there. I never read the book but I saw the movie. the only thing that bothered me about it was basically he was saying if you agree to stay at this big huge mansion and let men do whatever they want with you, then you are mine completely and oh yeah you have to be owned by my half brother as well.

There's a couple of pretty alarming Japanese ones I've seen that start off from where Return of the Living Dead III started and then just get odd. Actually, there's probably a lot more like that, but I've just seen the two... [edited to name names] Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead and Big Tits Zombie, both of which have that weird Japanese humour that manages to be childishly scatalogical and rather dry at the same time.

I watched one Japanese Horror movie, never again, talk about squeemish. also watched one Japanese BDSM movie flower and snake oddly beautiful

Not seen that one. I think there's a lot of S&M softcore made as more or less part of the mainstream of the Japanese film industry. probably a bit more interesting than 50 Shades...

uh yeah a lot more interesting, categorized under the Japanese Pink film, the only thing I dislike about Japanese S & M movies is hard to follow most of the time they speak Japanese.

I only watched a couple of them and I could be wrong because I don't understand Japanese but it didn't look like a power exchange in both movies, it looked like more how Hollywood would depict BDSM, kidnap sexual girl, torture her using weird gadgets and devices and turn her into a complete slut.

Did you ever see Grub Girl? Not Japanese (or any good, come to that), but it is a film about an undead hooker who ends up running a brothel and does spend part of the film working as a pro Domme.

Those damn books! Lol. I read all of them. Not 50 but 3 I think. Anyway, I was a newbie and was in the midst of my one and only both real / online relationship. At any other time, a book would have been just a book, but the bs in those books aided in keeping me entangled in something that still leaves scars. Now I am a big girl but the fantasy and timing of this book really did not help me. No matter how stupid it sounds now, reading those books made the abuse ok in my mind. It did t help that someone was always saying this is how it works either.

I think I read exit to eden first, when it came out, Im not sure how I got a copy. I had read lots of kink smut but was only cognizant that the femdom erotica attracted me more than any other, it still does. I then read, the beauty series, Story of O, Belinda. Market place series. Then found online mind control stories, and grommets, Ive since read tons of it, but I had to force myself to read 50 shades, I prefer the parodies of 50shades that it spawned I still cannot bring myself to watch the movie
