Lets face it, there were clues that the election was going to result in something weird.

There were the increase in earthquakes in parts of the US that normally does not have earthquakes, and while it seemed sensible that fracking and wastewater injection may have been to blame, I submit that the planet was getting itself ready for a shift to the more insane.

Then of course, the Cubs broke a 117 year streak of NOT being in or winning the world series.

Now admittedly, I thought this was indicative of the end of the world, but as we all saw, it was not.

But it was an omen of things to come.

Now we have a man who is not the most stable individual who will soon have control of the US nuclear launch codes.

But, what more does the future have in store for us?

What do all the omens of the past year really mean?

Well, if those were Omens* of the End Times looming, perhaps that means that the American president will kill himself to make way for Damien Thorne?
Just think: even as we speak, Fundamentalists are going through Revelations looking to see if any of the descriptions of the beast and or false prophet include a combover, tiny cock and no balls, or an orange complexion...

*(The Omen 3, I think, but I could be misremembering as it's years since I've seen any of them)

Portent by James Herbert tells of the Earth going bat shit nuts, killing loads of people, but at the same time should us how we could actually tap in to it for the better of both ourselves, and it ... if I remember rightly ... It's a very long time since I read it. I can't remember if it told us how to get rid of over grown Umpa-lumpas whilst making it look like an accident though

I think the Bible Code and Nostradamus were completely mined out during the last couple of unpopular presidencies, and were already looking a bit threadbare by the turn of the millennium anyway, sadly.
