I think the better question is why Pence thinks he can make sure other women bow to his beliefs too.
He will cut funding for both women and mens healthcare.
but his marriage is so much more important to discuss.
FUckin joke is right there.

I don't bother with that topic because, to me, that's the terroritory IF you choose a Fundie Christian Leader.

It's not just Pence. As long as you put a Fundie Christian on top. He or She is gonna dismantle planned parenthood! If this was Sarah Palin as VP right now, you can be sure she is gonna do that too!

So while people say you cannot make your choices base on people's religious beliefs.

But I totally NEED to make my choice of leaders base on their religious beliefs.

I also think that we need government inteference in prevention of unwanted pregnancies.

Compulsory free contraceptive injections or something for all women who have declared that they have no intention in having children any time soon. (Ironically, not gonna happen in my country, although this is something possible in my country, because they are desperate for women to want to have babies)

Every woman should sign an official declaration form whether they want to have a child within the next 5 years. IF yes, then no compulsory contraceptive injection required. If no, then compulsory contraceptive injection required.

And then here's what happens when she changes her mind within the next 5 years that she wants to have a child. She can go off on it as long as she declares she now wants a child.

After a woman has officially declare that she wants a child.

Then abortion should only be legal for valid reasons:

1) Rape
2) Child cannot live a normal life if born, abnormality of the child
3) Mother will die if child is born

Case by Case basis of whatever freak basis. Of course women already on compulsory contraceptive who gets pregnant can abort their kid any time as because it's government giving them a contraceptive that does not work, then it's not their fault.

AND

This registry should be open, and public easily searchable info, just like marital status, on whether a woman wants to have a child or not.

This helps men who DO NOT want children look into it, and then take responsibility too for ensuring he doesn't make her pregnant IF he does not want a child. If he sees the woman he is dating wants a child, he needs to be responsible to take extra precautions not to impregnate her. It is HIS responsibility to do that as well! As men's responsibility will be as usual. IF the woman chooses to keep the baby and he does not want it. He is obligated to co-operate in helping to take care of the child.

Anyway, in an ideal world, I believe my very practical solution is the best solution to handle unwanted needless pregnancies. And fair to all parties involve.

Women who don't want children shouldn't go through needless abortion.

And woman who wants children can have as many children as they want freely.

Adjust your anti-skating control. You are not going to impeach Trump. Get it through your head. This broken record has been going on well long enough. Do you even know what it takes to start an impeachments process ?

It ain't happening.

T^T

As much as I want to believe that people will ultimately see reason and do the right thing, the sad truth is that many of the people currently in power are even stupider than the RWNJS on this board.

At this point, I honestly don't even know if Trump coming out and saying 'I am being blackmailed by Russia-- HELP!' wouldn't be written off as par-for-the-course by Bosco or his clones. Bosco has already stated that he trusts Putin more than the Democrats... in fact, they admire him because he is a 'strong' leader (AKA: authoritarian dictator who kills anyone who defies him), and they want that kind of leader in the US.

If journalists started dying and political figures started having 'accidents' like they do in Russia, Trump supporters would be happy. They have no concept of Western values. They don't even understand that Trump isn't an American politician-- he is part of a global fascist movement that started in Europe and is trying to spread through the world. They don't understand this because they are ignorant about the world, ignorant about reality, ignorant about Trump, and ignorant about their own country.

The reason ignorance hadn't succeeded in the past is because it hadn't been given a voice, wasn't taken seriously, wasn't considered. Trump changed all of that. At this point, the only hope is that Trump's inevitable failures hurt the people enough for them to realize it was a mistake that should never be repeated.

Just like your assurances to us that canadian women hold open their pee flaps?
That women pee thru their vag's ? and your posts on bleeding and menopause.... shows how little you know about women and their bodies..

yeah, I would keep all of that belief and "practical solution" for needless pregnancies, to yourself, until you have a clue. if I were you.

PS the better path to fewer unintended pregnancies is sex education, lots of it, contraception, and std safety.
Pence fights against that

he isnt the only one...

Wait-- how can they be compulsory if they're only for women who are declaring that they have no intent to have children? You mean like if someone overhears some woman talking about how she doesn't want children, that person can report her to the authorities and then they will give her this 5-year contraceptive? What exactly happens to the women who are injected with this contraceptive? What if they fall in love in the meantime and want to reverse it?

Do you also have a plot to take over the world, Greta? If so, I'd really like to hear it.

Trump should definitely be not allowed to be one on one dinner with any woman. His wife or daughter should be right beside him at all times. For his own protection.

What exactly happens to the women who are injected with this contraceptive? What if they fall in love in the meantime and want to reverse it?

Did you even read it properly? All those points are covered. But I shall address it more clearly.

1) If a woman declare she wants children, then people over heard her that she didn't want children, then no, she will not be force to take contraceptive. This means that she has put herself in a position where abortion is not possible for her IF she has a kid. UNLESS she meets one of the exceptions for abortion. Otherwise, just freaking take the birth control, so that if you get pregnant, you can abort it all you want. And it's FREE.

2) Injected contraceptive are not permanent. Perhaps there should be more varied choices of contraceptive. But oral contraceptive is not acceptable for regulation as many woman can easily forget to take their pills. So it has to be an injection or anything inserted that helps prevent pregnancy of their choice fully government sponsored, so no cost to them.

3) I believe with all the options available, they can choose the option of contraceptives that allows them to have it remove or stop taking it and have their babies as usual as they want.

The key part is, everybody has to declare something, so based on their declaration will determined if abortion is legal for them or not.

This is my Nanny State philosophy. Americans will hate it. But it is perfectly logical in a perfect world to prevent unwanted pregnancies. I believe we will save many women from poorer backgrounds from unwanted pregnancies. And will not affect any woman who wants children anyway.

And recent studies shows that contraceptives prevent womb cancer. So all good!

PS: I am also now thinking abortion should be free for women on contraceptives, because it wasn't their fault. And they took contraceptives and still got pregnant. That would make it even more fair and friendly.

I think most kids know how to prevent pregnancy now. There is enough sex education.

UK even gives free contraceptive injections. Yet their teenage pregnancy rate is high.

Kids know how to protect themselves from getting pregnant. They just get lost in the moment, which is why my plan is better!

I don't need to know the technicalities of menopause since I have not experienced it myself, to know that compulsory FREE contraceptive that doesn't cost any woman a cent, and having consequences for choosing not to take them, and the consequence is simply, they are stuck with their baby, will work in greatly reducing pregnancies.

Preventing unwanted pregnancies is seriously a big picture thing. The world will get better new humans if everybody was born to parents who wanted them and planned for them.

Greta look for abstinence only education in the US.. the states that have it have HIGH teenage pregnancy rates.
And while the teen pregnancy rate is getting lower, its due to good sex education, and birth control access.

talking about the UK birth control is not relevant to america in any way.

Cause we are a nation of notorious shaggers greta75 ors it shag them and give them someone else’s number and flit under the cover of darkness to lands known as far away.

That aside cant they just put some radioactive material into women's shoe rendering them infertile and completely useless trollops - besides condoms don’t fit my gargantuan pantaloons monster, so I am totally not wearing them, but as I take my responsibilities seriously I am prepared to wear a bint, in finest boots and corset naturally, on the end of my knob. They will of course be changed for a clean one on the hour every hour for I don’t want stricken with the pox.

Which is not relevant on this topic, because we are discussing the article where the huff post lady shamed him for his policy of not allowing him to be alone with women.

The problem with pro-life policies is, it is not a "male against woman" thingy.

Many fundie women are against planned parenthood too. It's easy to argue with a man about this because they don't have wombs. But when women are supporting pro-life policies. That is some war to fight.

But the woman in the article is trying to say that Pence is oppressing women opportunities by refusing to be alone with them.

And I also disagree with the article that women couldn't have the same policy as men. When they are up there, they can if they choose to. All she needs to say is, "Out of respect to my husband." Most people will understand.

unfortunately that's too often how the pro baby killing crowd views it.

My solution is gonna make unwanted pregnancies to almost zero except a few freak unexplainable accidents that happens in nature all the time.

Not just lower it, but just taking into account that, there will always be irresponsible people around.

Current effectiveness of education will only reach the sensible people.

In a total abstinence society and absolute refusal to teach kids to have safe sex, of course even sensible ones didn't get access to the information will be a potential candidate for getting unexpectedly knocked up.

Looking at UK stats, that gives free birth control and sex education, and barely any political party trying to ban abortion.

They have successfully lowered teenage pregnancies through education, but somehow, abortions has risen . I guess informed people also know how to get rid of accidents now more too. So lots of accidents are still happening. This is due to the informed and irresponsible.

HuffnPoo pulled the article? Typical. Another batshit crazy HuffPoo article so batshit crazy even HuffPoo can't stand the stench of it

"In Sleazy DC, Mike Pence's Respect For His Wife and Professional Women Should Be Applauded"

quote:

Yesterday the Washington Post published a story about Vice President Mike Pence and his relationship with his wife, Karen Pence. The big headline? He won't eat alone with women who aren't his wife and will not attend parties serving alcohol without her.

"In 2002, Mike Pence told the Hill that he never eats alone with a woman other than his wife and that he won’t attend events featuring alcohol without her by his side, either," the Post reported.

Cue the meltdown. This, somehow, has been twisted as "extreme," with some on the left comparing his actions to Sharia Law. In actuality Pence is smart and does a service not only to his wife, but to professional women working inside the Beltway. His decision to err on the side of respect has certainly paid off.

Before becoming the governor of Indiana in 2013, Mike Pence served as a U.S. Congressman for over a decade. With his wife by his side and a clean personal record, his career has taken him all the way to the White House.

Washington D.C. is often a sleazy, filthy town. The stories you hear about smoky backrooms are true. Go to any D.C. restaurant at happy hour and you'll see scores of married men surrounded by and engaged inappropriately with younger women who are not their wives. This city is a place where a small, but vicious and significant population of men and women crave power. They will stop at almost nothing to get it, which includes breaking up marriages. There are 50,000 Ashley Madison accounts with a D.C. address, making the nation's capitol number four in the country for infidelity. Right across the river and bordering D.C. is Arlington, Virginia, which comes in at number five.

In 2001 Vanity Fair published a piece called Meanwhile on Capitol Hill, detailing this behavior from women and their male enablers on Capitol Hill .

quote:

In the wake of the Clinton and Condit intern scandals, you’d think Washington men would be wary of chasing young women, even ones as charming and alluring as Diana. You’d be wrong.

The Capitol buildings ooze sexual tension. The excitement begins once you pass the security guards. The windowless white marble corridors are a labyrinth in which you are isolated from the outside world. A “bubble” is how Diana puts it.

In the corridors you can hear little pump heels tap-tapping for miles, so predators know when the prey is coming; suddenly a congressman swings out from his office, dressed and groomed like a James Bond villain, usually flanked by an assortment of aides, all clutching files with the congressional logos firmly facing out, to remind you you’re in the presence of power. The congressman stops and stares up, down. He takes his time.

“Hey,” he says in a soft drawl.

This happens again and again, even on the second floor of the Rayburn building, where Gary Condit’s office is located, a chair and a handful of media outside. But the office sits sepulchral and empty, its occupant has long since been moved to a secret location.

Diana gets checked out all the time. “It’s just blatant. They don’t make any effort about hiding it,” she says. “They’ll start out conversations in elevators in the morning: ‘How are you? Who do you work for? Oh, you’re new around here. What are you doing for lunch?’ It’s just very bizarre and very forward.”

Bill Clinton spent far too much time alone with women who were not his wife. Former Speaker Newt Gingrich is on wife No. 3 after spending ample time alone with other women in his office. Congressman Mark Sanford admitted to an affair in 2009 after visiting Argentina (where his now ex-wife did not live) enough times to spark suspicion. Biographer Paula Broadwell ended up cheating on her husband and two children with a married
General David Patraeus after intimate meetings over dinner.

The list goes on and on. Because of human nature, many long hours alone with the opposite sex leads to infidelity. We should accept this reality so we can avoid it.

And no, this isn't to say everyone living or working in Washington D.C. should be put into the same category as Newt Gingrich or Bill Clinton, but the point is that it exists and should be avoided at all costs. And by the way, it's never the men who suffer career consequences for this type of behavior--see Monica Lewinsky or Paula Broadwell, for reference.

With a huge target on his back, Pence made a decision to respect his wife and avoid even the appearance of scandal. In return, he inoculated himself against any hint of doubt arising if he were ever accused of having an affair by tabloids or even reputable newspapers. He does women working in his office a favor by not putting them into an awkward position like so many congressmen and D.C. types do.

"Hey, lets grab a drink tonight night and talk about work" and "Are you available for dinner Friday so we can go over some projects?" are typical lines fed to young women starting their careers by established men in DC with ulterior motives. The smart ones quickly realize after-hour dinner or drink meetings with the opposite sex oftentimes aren't really about work and that they should stick strictly to a booze-free lunch for professional meetings. Pence never put young women in the position to wonder what his motives were.

Men in general, but especially powerful men in public positions, should respect and learn from Pence's boundaries. This doesn't mean they have to make the same decisions about how to handle professional situations, but understanding why Pence behaves the way he does is helpful with navigation. He has enormous respect for his wife and the women he works with, which is why he chooses not to put any of them into a position that could be perceived as compromising.

Finally, finding a compatible, loving and respectful life-long partner is a miracle. Marriage should be aggressively guarded, especially in a society where divorce is rampant and infidelity is simply viewed as a "mistake" rather than a decision.

In Washington D.C., the stakes for marriage are high and tested often. Pence knows that and acts accordingly.

If that's Pence's line, maybe it's some sort of passive aggressive dig at his notoriously unfaithful commander in chief?
