Greetings everyone,

To submissive/slave females and Dommes; how does it affect you through BDSM lifestyle?

Master96,

I know its coming a couple days before,My boobs just ache so bad.
I get a little achey here and some months are worse. But for the most part
Its business as usual,I find Advil works great.
It does sometimes make Me feel a little meaner so the poor wittle worms suffer.
I dont have quite as much tolerence either.

When it comes to bishop, she makes sure I have Advil and the foods I crave.
she is very understanding, gets the heating pad...such a good slave girl I have

i only have one symptom about 12 hours before it starts...  i get nilla sexually.  i don't want to serve, i want dick.  now.  hard. fast. again. i honestly can't say during that time, Mister isn't serving Me.

my bad symptoms are always after, like the hormones don't rebalance and i have too much testosterone or something, i get very aggressive.  This is when i'm likely to be overly sensitive and jump a comment ke something from the sci-fi channel.

i don't get allowances for my behavior during that time, but Both the Hims are sensitive to the fact that i will over-absorb constructive critism at that time, so They each have Their own ways of dealing with it.  Mister gets really busy on hobbies and such (lol, chicken!)
Master says it's my choice if i want to withdraw from communications, but i get much praise if i stay in communications and keep my emotional reactions reigned in.

That does wonders for my sense of well-being, that wee little bit of feeling successful at something at a time when i feel like the worlds earth-worm..  wow.

Having read everyones post and bein menopausal age (im 49) menopause is not all its cracked up to be lol. your periods become irregular i was very regular before lasting 3-4 days. they come closer together and without warning. I am lucky in a sense that i dont suffer from cramps or mood swings and never really have. I did have bad periods when i was younger before I had my children (Ihave 5) so my Master has no clue when I am about to start except for the fact that I become much more horny then my normal horny self. But one thing that is irritating is the night sweats and sweats in general but it was recommended by my Dr I try black cohash for that its a natural mineral and believe it or not it does help alot. After about 2 weeks the sweats were gone......But i do sympathise with those who go thru hell once a month cause I have seen a few friends go thru it. Im just grateful it doesnt happen to me lol.............

Hello Master96,

I began the menopause 10 yrs ago at 38 yrs and I'd only just given birth...The irritating part of that is, although my periods, naturally, had halted, taking HRT meant still having a *bleed* ......same old, same old.....lol

To Susan.....As one other poster mentioned, the menopause brings different issues physically, not just a *lack* of periods in individual cases.
Some sail through periods, some sail through pregnancies, some have only a few bothers with the menopause.....Bone thinning, thinning hair, vaginal dryness........the oft-mentioned *hot-flushes*( handy in the winter, truly)......Oh Bugger it all......I always WANTED to be a man.

Regards, agirl

Edited to actually answer the OP...(whoops) ..... Menstruating (even if it's artificial....lol) doesn't affect any part of *bdsm* as such, here.

When I first started menstruating, I was a mess at 13 years old, then the doctors wanted to put me under surgery.  I was on birth control during the early 70's and took them from the time I was 13 until I was 16.  I have been on this medication on and off for the past few years.  I am older now and have still been placed birth control but for many different reasons.

I used to be very moody where people would not want to talk to me but with the help of this medication, my periods are shorter and people can tolerate me!  When I have heavy days, I am tired and just want to take a shower and go to sleep.

Oh yeah, chocolate and carbohydrates soothe me during those days. This is the ultimate comfort food!

LA, I'm not trying to start an argument here, but I have difficulty with your comments concerning this topic...

I have a wide number of female friends and family, both lifestyle and non-lifestyle. Like women everywhere, we talk about our bodies (childbirth, menstruation, menopause, what-have-you). Now if I was only surrounded by twenty-somethings who thrive on drama and selfish "vested interests" I might consider your observations as having validity.

As I mentioned before, I do not know when my periods will start. I'm normally a rational person, and I notice that at times I will "take something hard" that I'd normally just "blow off"... Invariably, I'll start my cycle within 24 hours and it's a RELIEF to understand why I overreacted.

Trust me, I'd prefer to never have another period or the symptoms that come with them. I have been sub, slave, and Domme within my lifetime. I have worked, not worked, volunteered for charities, parented two fantastic boys to adulthood... Regardless of who I am and what I'm doing with my life, I have no "vested interests" in promoting that a larger than normal percentage suffers from their monthly cycles...

Your observation holds no validity in My life or the vast number of women that I know personally... If it works for you to continue believing this, I'm happy for you, but personally, I think it's false and insensitive towards women everywhere.

To answer the OP:

When I am starting my cycle, I tend to need dark, quiet comfort. Non-consensual pain tends to fray my nerves. As a sub/slave, it wasn't wise to take out those frustrations upon Master, so I would ask (and usually receive) light duty and plenty of alone time. I'd put a dark cloth over the bedroom window and retreat into my cave with chocolate and heating pads... As a Domme, I can "get away" with being short tempered, but it tends to create a ripple effect throughout my household. Since my household is poly with one other female in the mix, I've learned that if I respect her space during hers, and I strive to be patient and tactful during mine, the household goes much smoother... On those months when we have our cycles at the same time, we each retreat to our rooms and cubby just tries to anticipate our needs as respectfully as possible. He tends to spend that time playing video games or catching up on his reading and projects.

It works for us...
