ORIGINAL: MasterJaguar01 Over the many years, I have said many of these things. Here it is from someone who has been in the middle of it. http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/06/24/intellectual-conservatives-lost-republican-trump-215259 He completely articulates the dumbing down of the GOP (and mentions FOX news in that context) You forgot to mention that he is a Hillary supporter / swamp creature. He WAS a Hillary supporter ONLY because he wanted his OWN party to heal. You mean that party that can't seem to quit winning I mean the party that quit thinking. The biggest idea you alt left type have had in ages, is to use propaganda to overturn an election "Hate Trump" is all you've got First of all, I seriously have no idea what "alt left type" is. I don't know much about the slang left-wing ideologues use. The best I can tell, there is no "alt left". I don't think anyone on the left (lefties, correct me if I am wrong) that calls themselves "alt left". The term "alt left" was made up by right wing ideologues to draw attention away from the "alt right", which is a very real right wing racist ideology. (There are actually people on the right who identify with that term). Secondly, after ALL this time, and many hundreds of posts, you still never learn. Trying to lump me with leftist ideologues never works. You automatically lose every debate that way. You lose, lose, lose hundreds of times in succession with that tactic. Yet, you keep trying it. You can now add another loss to your list. I DON'T hate Trump. Never have. He is a product of our badly flawed political system. He fooled too many gullible people into voting for him, and STILL won despite, the majority of people voting against him. The system produced two badly flawed candidates and ultimately, through our systems's built-in gerrymandering ("aka" the Electoral College), Trump won. He made a lot of sense in the 90's and I enjoyed watching him on the Apprentice. I don't hate him. Jimmy Carter was a failed President as well (although not a corrupt bone in his body. Perhaps his incredible sense of morality prohibited him from being an effective President). I have met him, and used to go out his son Jack and his wife for ice cream. I don't hate them either. I have no idea what anyone you describe has "got". Here is what I have (for starters): Tax and economic policies that are based on a TRUE understanding what drives capitalism in the U.S. (hint: it is NOT 100% supply side. In fact Supply Side policies do NOTHING but bankrupt us without a strong demand. Supply-side policies ONLY help when a strong demand exists. This keeps getting proven, over and over. Look at the state of Kansas. It is a model foo every failed supply-side policy in existence. Health care policies that are based on what drives up the cost of health care (hint: the answer is not to continue to subsidize Insurance Companies, and keep the free-market closed on prescription drugs (the only area in health care that is close to what could be a free market)). A Foreign policy that shows American leadership and truly promotes peace and prosperity throughout the world. (hint: It's not the "Lead from Behind" policy of the current administration) You NEVER get tired of losing.
