FR,

How weird is it that a few posters on here starting in on Bama about being racist when the OP didn't mention any skin color, and neither did the article linked to? Project much?

The incident happened in Brownsville according to the link I posted. Brownsville is an all-black area near downtown Miami. Also, this was a gang busting sting. Miami is not noted for its white gangs. Bama has done nothing but champion the police in shootings of unarmed blacks in his racists postings.

What link that you posted?
You posted no link on this thread.
To disavow you of your abject ignorance, Brownsville is several miles NW of downtown Miami in unincorporated Dade County

For some unknown technical reason my post is gone but you can see it in Bama's #10 reply to my disappeared post. The link is live there. Here it is again: RACE BAITING HERE

Brownsville is below NW 50th Street. Whether that is in the city proper it is pretty damn close, just above Allapattah. Both are Miami neighborhoods. And if you read the article you will note the police were Miami city police, Not Dade County Sheriff Deputies..

This event happened back in March. Bama had plenty of time to research where it happened.

So, don't bullshit people and claim I am ignorant of the city and county I worked in for thirty years.

You assume many things, not the least of which is that the shooters were black,

Yeah, well, racial apartheid, inner city shooting, and all that. You are either very naive or clumsily sly when you protest that you didn't know.

Ever been there?
Ever been to Hialeah?
90+% Cuban. Oh yeah, inner city Dade County.
Don't speak of that of which you are irredeemably ignorant.

Hialeah is not Miami. I taught in Miami/Dade for decades.

Then you would know where Brownsville is. It DAMN sure isn't inner city. that's Overtown I lived in Dade for 18 years

Then you have been gone for too long if you don't know Brownsville is policed by the city police, not the County Sheriff.

Miami is not noted for its white gangs.

No, but they are VERY damn well known for Cuban, South American and Puerto Rican gangs.
There is also the International Posse that is one of the very few gangs nationally that doesn't care about ethnicity.

Are you being a racist and claiming that only whites and blacks can be gang members?[8D]

All "people of color" exclude whites.... .

Demographic Growth of People of Color

and all have been racially persecuted in the United States.

Also, Brownsville is one of the poorer neighborhoods of Miami.

The neighbors in the Brownsville neighborhood in Miami are low income, making it among the lowest income neighborhoods in America. NeighborhoodScout's research shows that this neighborhood has an income lower than 94.7% of U.S. neighborhoods. With 38.9% of the children here below the federal poverty line, this neighborhood has a higher rate of childhood poverty than 82.3% of U.S. neighborhoods.

They use the lie that I am racist to excuse not paying attention to anything I say.

I can't speak for others, but I never pay any attention to anything you say because you're always singing the same tune, no matter what the current events. Guns good. Shot people bad.

Harlem is more than ten miles from NYC Hall. Does distance disqualify Harlem as "inner city?" What is "inner city" if not a metaphor for an area housing poor people of color with crime problems?

The suspicion arises from the observation that from every discussion on police shooting unarmed blacks or mentally disabled people Bama finds reason to defend the actions of the police, even in those questions where the police were fired from the Force. The unarmed killed or wounded were always at fault per him.

The trial means nothing if it doesn't come out your way.
When I favor a conviction and am upset because of gross overcharging ( Gardner, Grey) you still think I am making up excuses for the cops.
The fact that I understand the juries logic does not make me racist.
The fact that guilt or innocent any officer who has gone to trial means that nothing he does in the future will be accepted and his continued service will be nothing but trouble for the department doesn't make him guilty. Two entirely different things. And you thought that the other cops were unjustified because one cop they didn't have a chance to communicate with didn't accept his judgment even though he was fired
for repeated civil rights violations and freezing in the face of danger.
All we get from you is black is good blue is bad racist, blah blah blah racist , rant rant rant racist.
Agree with me or I will pretend you are a racist.

Please stop whining. I asked you politely in the other thread to cease making me the subject of the debate. You chose to ignore my request. First I was mad at the cops because you thought I was black. Then you accused me of white guilt. And then, despite my request to knock it off you accused me of hating the cops because I must be a convicted felon. Being the target of ad hominem comments is uncomfortable, isn't it?

Yeah, right. Your thread title tells me otherwise.

Actually, Miami's murder rate has declined a bit. The cities with major increases in murder and violent crime are Baltimore, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Washington D.C. SOURCE

You are not much of a scholar on this topic apparently.

mnottertail -> RE: Another ambush of cops. (7/13/2017 12:27:54 PM)

Exactly how many is an ambush of cops. And does that number change as ambushor or ambushee?

Sadly, as we saw in New York the other day it takes only one on one to be an ambush.

It really tells us nothing about the city or its crime environment as the OP is now trying to claim.

The cities that bend over backwards to be politically correct are the ones with the crime increases.
That doesn't mean this didn't happen, does it?

And again if I don't do a thesis paper, this time on crime in America, I don't know what I am talking about? Get real.
