Because people sinned, which caused disease, and unfortunately children can catch them as well.

So, way back in the past somebody sinned, so this all-loving thing you worship created diseases that kill and maim infants thousands of years later who have never sinned at all? Is that what you are saying?
Everything was created at the same time more or less and so there was no "later" creation of diseases to "punish" mankind. It was after mankind sinned and became imperfect that they became susceptible to disease.
quote:

ORIGINAL: ThatDizzyChickWhy did this all loving thing you worship allow that sin in the first place?

Free Will.

No, sorry, that explanation does not hold water, since the thing you worship ids supposedly omniscient, and so he knew before he created anything that people would turn their backs on him, yet he went ahead and created \the world the way he did so that people would turn their backs on him, therefore he obviously wanted them to do so. Why?

I told you that you wouldn't like the answer and the answer does hold water, you just have not spent much time thinking about how God's omniscience and Free Will can coexist.

As for what the exact purpose is for those diseases you mention, I don't know but I can tell you that if mankind had not turned their back on God mankind would never have been affected by them.

More bullshit, because many of those diseases are older than humanity, so the thing you worship created them long before he created humans. Try again, but this time make an effort to be at least slightly reasonable.

Might try actually thinking a bit before you call "bullshit", you are becoming a bit like the little boy who cried wolf.

Of course the diseases were created before mankind and if you want, "long before he created humans", so?

As long as mankind was perfect, there was no need to worry about "catching" a disease because it couldn't happen but after mankind sinned they were no longer perfect and then could "catch" diseases.

Yeah, that's just not true, that has been disproven long ago.

Free Will.

No such thing. Remember, that thing you worship is supposedly omniscient, so it knew absolutely everything you would do before it created anything, so this free will you speak of is a fallacy because the thing you worship knew all along exactly whyen and how you would sin, so the free will thing is bullshit.
Try again.

Actually I have spent a lot of time contemplating that very question, and I have concluded that they can't, but why don't you explain how they can coexist.

LOL
OK, so the thing you worship, who you claim knows what is best for humanity, created humans, knowing full well they would sin, and then since some of them sinned tens of thousands of yearsw ago, all of us now get diseases. tell me how those viruses and bacteria survived before we were naughty?

Okay, do you believe that there is such a thing as "Free Will"?

Did you actually?

I already gave a short explaination earlier in this very thread.

Again jumping to conclusions. Because God gave mankind "Free Will", God did not know they were going to sin.

If the human parents of all of mankind were imperfect where did they come up with perfect to pass on to their children so they wouldn't get diseases?

As for the survival of the diseases, how do you know that those diseases couldn't have used other animals as hosts?

miles, though its possible whatever you share with her might somehow become a part of her testimony, she is at present not genuinely seeking answers to her questions from a biblical or Christian perspective. she's a scoffer.

LOL so your way of reconciling free will and the omniscience of the thing you worship is to deny the omniscience of the thing you worship.
Too fucking funny.

If they were imperfect it is because the thing you worship made them that way, so it is punishing them for something it did deliberately.

Ah, so when humanity became imperfect, the microbes evolved to infect and harm humans. Interesting.

Man do you ever have it wrong. I was raised a Christian, but I figured out it was all bullshit (mostly by observing the disconnect between what supposedly devout Christians claimed to believe and what they actually lived by). I am a very happy apostate. I was raised in your cult, but I grew up and left such childish things behind.
