respectmen -> Woman brings man to chokehold for groping her ass (8/15/2017 2:28:10 PM)

I'm not condoning what the guy did in any way. The guy is a wanker and deserves to be dealt with by the justice system. However, what the woman did was wrong. What's even more disturbing is the double standard. If a guy happened to get groped by a woman and put her in a chokehold, would people be cheering the man about it and be all humorous and fine with it?

Marini, would you condone a man putting a woman in a chokehold and dragging her outside a place for groping his ass?

It's not that the woman was throwing punches or trying to rob or rape, right? Therefore, such force is unnecessary.

It seems you are using a diversion to avoid the question because the truth to your real answer exposes your men hating hypocrisy. Dungeon bitch!

respectmen -> RE: Woman brings man to chokehold for groping her ass (8/15/2017 2:40:04 PM)

Just imagine in the said situation, after the man just chokeholded the woman and dragged her a distance, she's crying her eyes out and he takes pics, shows it on social media for everyone to laugh at.

I'm sure that would be oh so acceptable like it was in the article when it happens to a man. [:D]

angelikaJ -> RE: Woman brings man to chokehold for groping her ass (8/15/2017 2:42:34 PM)

1) Unwanted groping is a form of sexual assault.
You may not like it but that is the way it is.
How does she know it is going to stop at groping?
What she did is classified as self-defense.

2) Most men are stronger than most women.
Self-defense in an appropriately applied measure would not be a choke hold.

Musicmystery -> RE: Woman brings man to chokehold for groping her ass (8/15/2017 2:44:06 PM)

I'd have done worse if some guy groped my ass.

You may not read what I said in the OP. I suggest you go back to it and read the part where I say that I don't condone what the man is doing in any way.

Unnecessary force shouldn't be classified as "self defense". This happened in a very open public place. It's not like he was throwing punches or jumping on her. What he did was damn wrong no doubt, but it's totally unnecessary to use such force. The right option would be to go straight to security and let them do their business and then call the police.

A chokehold is a chokehold, either gender can be a victim of it. The man in the chokehold would have suffered just as much as if a woman was in a chokehold. There shouldn't be any silly gender based rules on self defense and what measures can a person take.

Bottom line, if you want women to be treated equal to men, you can't have it both ways. It's either you want equality or you don't. Cherry picking, picking and choosing, when you want equality isn't being genuine and honest. It's asking for privilege rather than equality in reality.

Guess he will give it some thought next time before putting his hands on someone without their permission. I wouldnt have choke slammed him though. I have an old back fracture and slamming a big old sack of assholes like that might hurt. Id have just smashed him in the nose with my elbow. He touched my ass, I touch his nose.

No, he just slammed her against the wall, that's all. Nothing be troubled about.

BTW, it's obvious you've got your ass kicked numerous times by men and women both (not that I'm a 'seer,' it's just knowing that if you say half the shit in public you say here, regular arse kickings are a done deal), so don't tell me you've never been to a club or bar where a chokehold on an uncivil customer being dragged out to the car park doesn't happen almost every evening.

So, how come no complaint when it's a guy chokeholding and evicting a guy?

The right option would be to go straight to security and let them do their business . . .

Whereupon they would have chokeholded him more forcefully and likely done far more damage while dragging him to the car park.

This man attacked her by grabbing her ass. She self-defense by chokeholding him, but as she is just a physically weaker woman, he easily slam her against the wall.

In an opposite situation, if a woman grab a man's ass, all the guy need is to grab her and drag her to security. She can struggle all she wants, but she won't be able to break free, as he is physically stronger. No choke hold needed.

Notice the woman's choke hold was not even sufficient to subdue the man who attacked her.

If a man grab another man's ass. The victim would have tackled the other dude down and punch the shit out of him! Break some teeth maybe.

All a woman can do is an ineffective useless choke hold.

No inequality here. The inequality lies in women are too weak to defend themselves properly for fair play.

Imagine if this woman was alone in the alley with this dude who grab her butt, and she choked hold him, it would be no use, as he would have slam her against the wall repeatedly and maybe even punched her and maybe even raped her.

I am glad she took a picture of him crying and shamed him.

He deserves it. Because if she was alone and had no security to help her. She would have been raped. He would have gone all the way. And she would be helpless against it.

Why shouldn't she be fighting back furiously?
