sub4hire -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 8:00:19 AM)

I've never felt that way in life yet, so I don't know.  The person I am with now, we just got married...we're nearing our two month mark.
I don't know if he is the right person.  I do know we are compatible and we can make one another laugh.
We enjoy the same things out of life yet have enough diversity between us so it doesn't get dull real quickly.  We're almost 8 years into this relationship and aren't bored yet.
I think in life you have to make sacrifices.  Those sacrifices sometimes mean you aren't going to find your "perfect person"  because everyone knows perfect doesn't exist.  So, why do so many people still seek them out?
You go through life alone or you choose to take the happiness as it crosses over your doorstep.  Sometimes that happiness may last a lifetime and sometimes a few moments.  Though, nobody can tell you how long someone will last.  Death can rip us apart at a moments notice.  Want to waste 7/8ths of your life seeking someone that will probably never exist?  Or spend it happy?

RPutnamJr -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 8:03:02 AM)

I just knew within the first 24 hours that she was right for me...like a message from God himself. Took me a month to actually know that we would get together and five years to actually get her to say yes.

5 years later I had to let her go, which was the hardest thing I have ever done. I hope she has found happiness.

To answer your question though...complete contentment like you have gone to heaven and can survive anything.

pqwinny -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 8:21:08 AM)

For me, there have been different feelings connected with knowing at different times in my life.  You'll probably hate this reply, but it can't really be described or defined for you by someone else...you just know it.   i have learned in my life that i must always trust my gut and when in doubt...wait.  Eventually the doubt leaves and knowing 'yes' or knowing 'no' fills it's place.

i have just come thru this again in my life and after the doubt, the knowing turned out to be 'yes' *smile*

impishlilhellcat -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 8:24:34 AM)

For me it was a series of conversations with the person. I felt as if I had known that person all my life. When I began thinking about the person during the day and the conversations we had and I found myself grinning and stuff I knew that was the one for me.

ownedgirlie -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 8:25:21 AM)

The very first time our eyes met.  I was kneeling before him and he tilted my head up to look at him.  It was as though my world was finally put back on its axis.

when i stole her from my best friend of 15 years and ran off together cross country.

MasterRobsalayna -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 6:24:07 PM)

alayna knew when We/we first began chatting.  He was answering questions, helping this slave sort some stuff out and alayna was more and more drawn to Him.  We/we discovered many things in common and alayna knew, even before Our/our first meeting, but OH, that first meeting, just one look into His eyes and it was cemented.

My boy and I knew on the phone.  Unfortunately, right now, he isnt so sure the LIFESTYLE is for him, persay, but he still wants to be with me. And I with him, so we wil see how things go.

I thought I felt it right away in our first chat. Then I really thought I knew it after weeks of chatting and finding out that he had all the qualities I wanted in a Dom. I knew for sure when he came and took me home and finding out that being in his arms is the most perfect feeling I have ever known.

JassWolf -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 6:49:57 PM)

We met online. Within the day, I had an agenda. It took two or more days to make it a common agenda.

We started out working on writing. We took a bit of a sabbatical -- 10 months -- to get together, and now we're writing together again.

WhiplashGirlChld -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 6:55:26 PM)

Met him through friend, but one afternoon at some kiddie birthday party we both ended up at, we sat down and really talked.  I was still married to husband 1 then.  Was many years before we started dating, but both of us knew from that day that we had found the other half of ourselves.  I feel lucky I have had several loves in my life.  This is something which the word "love" does not adequately describe.  It's more like finding something you lost, or a key for a lock you never dared open before.  It took a lot to end my faithless whorish ways...

krikket -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 6:56:09 PM)

The song lyrics said it best (paraphrased) "He had me from hello."  He promised forever, which believed with all my heart and soul..only his forever had conditions and a deadline he didn't bother to tell me about..

Now, older if not wiser, i try not to jump in too quickly... but that's just me.

cheers
jimini

missturbation -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 7:10:53 PM)

He had me from out first msn convo.
It was a mixed feeling of belonging, being home, knowing it was just plain and simply right.

SexyRed -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 10:01:16 PM)

you just feel whole when with the right one, your heart beats faster whenever you hear their name or look at them.

sadly, this does not always last, but when it is there, it is sublime.

KnightofMists -> RE: When was the First? (7/28/2006 10:28:08 PM)

With alandra it was a few months after meeting her....  with kyra it was the moment that I looked into her eyes.

We both I answered one question....  "Can I imagine my life with out them?"  The answer was Yes I could... But I didn't like what Imagined.  Life is so much better with them than without them... In fact... every day just seems to be better!

PS... It took me longer with alandra because I was young and stupid... with kyra... I wasn't so young.

LaTigresse -> RE: When was the First? (7/29/2006 5:51:09 AM)

KoM, your posts and those of your girls make me smile so much. It is a pure joy to see three people so happy with one another. The three of you are delightful to behold in so many ways.

As far as "The First".......I honestly would not know. I have never experienced it.

hisforever -> RE: When was the First? (7/29/2006 6:06:42 AM)

After leaving him many times, and always seeming to be back with him, and feeling right only when I was with him (this was pre D/s to let you know).  Every other relationship I had after him, well, felt, not right, cold.  I feel at home with Daddy, and never want to leave his arms.  Not to highjack the thread or anything, but could you ever have had more than one "the one"  I feel as if I have, but some may say there is one person for everyone...The person I would have spent the rest of my life with died in a car accident.  Daddy was there for me when no one else was, that started the feelings I have for him.  Sorry if that post made no sense at all, I think I was just rambling on there.

Thank you.... I suspect that many think everything appears just wonderful... but there must be issues.  Well yes there are issues from time to time... however, we are all very committed in working thru anything.  alandra and I have been very happy for alot of years together.  But, we always knew that there was a something missing for both of us.  There was a time we never thought we would find that additional partner to our lives.  Some that fits into ours like we fit into theirs.  Someone that redefines the WE of this relationship.  kyra is that person!  Even thou she is thousands of miles away... we are happier now than we were without her.  She has added to us in ways that we have yet to comprehend.  everyday gets happier as we continue to build and work on our relationship.  We three are one!  that is our moto.  we don't bring our problems to the boards.... we don't look to create drama in our lives.  We look to bring practical ever lasting happiness.  It takes Work... It takes Devotion... It takes everything.... But... it gives everything in return.
