ORIGINAL: DaddySatyr You ask a couple of interesting questions, but I think I take umbrage with some of the words chosen. Sure that's what discussion is all about. quote:
ORIGINAL: DaddySatyr I'll work backwards ... "Rape" doesn't exist in the animal kingdom because, by-and-large, the females of the species are more evenly physically matched with their male counterparts than human females and, if they're not receptive (either for physiological or sociological reasons), mating doesn't happen (in most species) because the females are able to fight them off. Likewise you probably know that there a lot holes in your assumptions here. You probably know that in the animal kingdom the male is generally larger than the female just as in mankind so that is iffy at best. Actually, I don't know that and here's why: I specifically mentioned four species in that part of my example. I mentioned Baboons, Geladas, Chimps, and Toque Macaques. You'll notice I chose primates that are highly sociable; they live in fairly large communities. In general, amongst the lower primates, there's not much difference in strength between the genders and with the exception of Macaques, there's almost no community punishment (though there is a caste system). Finally, what I posted were not assumptions. They were the culmination of thousands of hours, spent paying attention to experts. Silly me. I thought you wanted to have a discussion. Michael
