ORIGINAL: BoscoX Before Mohammad began his jihad and his cult mass slaughtered hundreds of millions the areas that Muslims took were very culturally diverse Now, everyone else is gone (as you yourself have pointed out). Yay, religion of peace Bosco is claiming that Muslims slaughtered all the non-Muslims in countries they conquered, exterminating them. One of the areas Muslims conquered was Palestine and its capital Jerusalem. Israeli claims to sovereignty Jerusalem and Palestine are based in part on the continuous, documented presence of Jewish people in the region back to the time of King David and beyond. We all know that this region was ruled by Muslims for many centuries, over a millennium. Obviously if Bosco's claim is true then the Israeli claim is false and vice versa. One or both of the above claims cannot be true. This channel 4 doco explores the phenomenal growth of the Arab empire in the century or so following the birth of Islam. It finds that there is no evidence to support the view that Islam inspired this expansion. For instance the Arabs who gained control of Jerusalem (by negotiation not conquest) seemed to feel a far greater affinity with its Jewish residents and Judaism than with Christians. According to the perspective that claims a ruthless Islam-inspired expansion, along with extermination of Jews in accord with alleged Koranic injunctions, this could not have happened. The first physical evidence of a union between the Arabs and Islamic interests (in the form of coins with Islamic text/symbols) doesn't appear until c70 years after Arabs gained control over Jerusalem. This suggests that the expansion was primarily motivated by secular not religious causes. Do I need to add that all of this evidence flatly contradicts Bosco's uninformed, tedious and neurotic rants??? It's only in your deranged howler imagination that I wrote that Muslims slaughtered everyone in all countries they invaded, or anything specific about Palestine, Israel or Jerusalem though. Miles posted a list of those countries where everyone else is gone, look there. It seems that Bosco cannot remember what he wrote a mere post or two ago. Look at the opening post by Bosco above. It clearly states: "Before Mohammad began his jihad and his cult mass slaughtered hundreds of millions the areas that Muslims took were very culturally diverse. Now, everyone else is gone ..." "Everyone" is "gone" from the areas conquered by Muslims - that must include Palestine and the Holy Land, despite his belated denials. For weeks now Bosco has been pushing the line that Muslims exterminated the indigenous populations in countries they conquered if those people refused to become Muslims, and how they especially targetted Jews in this process. Bosco has insisted that this alleged barbarity was ordered by the Koran, that this barbarity was a religious obligation upon Muslims. Person after person has lined up countering Bosco's rabid claims with facts and data which he refuses to recognise. Now it seems that Bosco's connection with reality is so tenuous and discontinuous that he can't even remember his lies and BS from a post or two ago ... The only thing Bosco's hysterical claims reveal is his own deep seated utterly neurotic Islamophobia and blind hate. Bosco is a fact free zone ... and a psychiatrist's wet dream.
