Sure, the Constitution's First Amendment gives all Americans the right to free speech. Free from GOVERNMENT abuse, criticism, repercussions, etc. I can still think AND SAY the GOP's House Judiciary are a bunch of fucking idiots.

But if I (as a private citizen) go to your house and say you have ugly curtains, you can tell me to fuck off.

And thanks to Citizens United, companies are people too! And money is speech.

So the GOP is going against private companies' freedom of speech. Wow, that's almost like this Disney/DeSatan thing!

Basically, he says, if Tucker Carlson's firing was part of the Dominion Settlement (found by a jury to be one of the major causes of Dominion's financial injury WAS Tucker Carlson's lying), then Texas is boycotting Dominion.

Notice Abbott call Tucker Carlson a journalist!!!!

I think the issue is that we were all kids once. Some of us just want to prevent future children from going through what we did back then, or at least make it a little easier for them. Others just feel the need to control, regardless of the outcome.

I'd have to question the definition of 'obscene' being used. But I don't think school should be a place for anything that isn't necessary for learning, and the welfare of the students. I don't even know wtf you're talking about, and I'm pretty sure you don't either, as you've given no specifics, just the usual "commie propaganda" crap.

I haven't seen any legitimate "hate whitey" anything. Equality doesn't have to mean a step down for anyone, when we can just as easily move others a step ahead of where they are. And we can correct anything that has been designed to hold any minority back, because it holds us all back.

You absolutely did not comprehend my post. As the courts have said... Free speech ends where defamation begins. No one is free to defame anyone. "Defaming means lying in such a way that causes injury. Tucker Carlson was (among other Fox hosts) most certainly guilty of defaming many people, including Ray Epps If Tucker Carlson's firing was part of the settlement, it was because he was involved in defamation AND because he was the most watch FOx News Host, his defamation caused the most injury.

Dominion was injured because of Tucker Carlson's actions. Abbott is censoring Dominion because they publicly called him on it.

Well, Abbott doesn't have a Disney, so Dominion will have to do. But maybe Dominion should inform investors that Texas could negatively impacting future outlooks, like Disney has about Florida.

Pointing the finger at Dominion gives the right a shield against the more likely truth. FOX News and Tucker were both hit with sex discrimination lawsuits. And Tucker's senior executive producer, also named in the lawsuits. Yeah, FOX News can't survive the Dominion thing if it anyone has to be reminded of the whole Roger Ailes thing.

The question of "who is a journalist", therefore innately protected by the First Amendment, needs to be addressed in this digital age. Gwenyth Paltrow has a podcast, is she a journalist? Does a YouTube channel make somebody a journalist? Is Kelly Clarkson a journalist now that she has a TV show? Are we journalists because we post here? Is Twitter or TikTok journalism? It was so much more clearly defined in Joseph Pulitzer's day.
