phoenix52 -> Hood piercing question (12/14/2004 8:16:43 PM)

Hello all,

i would like to get a genital piercing (luckily *i* want to, since what matters is that my Master wants me to!)

i have heard that clit hood piercings can be very stimulating, but i wonder if this would be the case with me because my clit is *very* sensitive (ie, i couldn't even stand to have it touched directly for years, now i have to be really aroused for it to be touched). i would hate to go through the whole piercing process only to find that i was very uncomfortable, in a not sexy way, when it was all over!

Getting my clit itself pierced is out of the question, it is way too tiny.

Has anyone had experience with this situation? Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks,
shannon

No personal experience, but a girl friend of mine had her hood pierced, and she *loved* it. She was pretty much constantly aroused!! *L* Oh, also, the hole stretched pretty quickly (from touching, pulling, etc), and within about 6 months she had to get a thicker gauge ring.

Hmmm, trying to imagine what effect it would have on you... it might increase your sensitivity in a good way, but I'm just guessing here. My advice would be, if you don't find anyone who's had a hood piercing who's in the same situation with you, to ask professional piercers about it. Someone with a lot of experience will most likely have direct knowledge about how it will affect you.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.. but would love to hear what you end up doing, and how it turns out for ya. Good luck!!! :) ~daisy~

No experience at -all- just wanted to say make sure you get a good peircer who someone has vouched for. I've heared of horrible stuff that can go wrong with hood peircings.

Yes, I would suggest you research this very carefully. The nerve bundle is located there and can be easily severed by someone who does not know what they're doing. Leaving you with no feeling at all. And no way to regain it. I had seriously considered this type of piercing, untill I found this out and decided it wasn't worth it.

I wish you all the best in this.

Take care,

Getting your ACTUAL clit pierced should never be considered by anyone. Anyone that does it probably never has a decent sex life ever again.

Other than that... why would you want MORE sensitivity, if you can barely stand the amount you have now? Too much of a good thing...

MsCameron -> RE: Hood piercing question (12/15/2004 10:33:46 AM)

I had my hood pierced for several years until I finally took it out.

I never found that it added to my sexual arousal and I'm pretty sensitive.

What I did find was that, although pretty, it was a pain in the ass. It got in the way of oral sex. If the vibrator hit it the wrong way or was on too high all it did was hurt. Also hitting that ring against the pubic bone during sex was NOT pleasant.

Something to consider.

I suppose that you're basing this on your extensive life experience?

Cameron,

I thought that *I* was the only "freak of nature" that didn't find a hood piercing all that sexually stimulating! I'm glad to hear that someone has the same experience I have had with them. Everyone I know who has one tell tales of sexual bliss because of the piercing.

In *my* experience, it hasn't detracted from sexual pleasure per se (because I take it out when I know I'm about to get sum.) Yes, you are right, it looks very cute and I've even bought a disco ball barbell for it [:D]

But the reality for me is that 1) It is very uncomfortable to leave in during sex or masturbation 2) During day to day activities (walking, working out, just sitting there) I don't even notice that it is there. I don't regret getting it done though.

Okay, I think you guys have convinced me, stick with a labia minora piercing. Seems like if this was a good idea, at least one person would have posted a good (personal) experience.

I dunno, just hoping it would change things in a good way. I hear all the stories from women who say they cum during intercourse, cum during spankings, cum on command, etc. and I want some of that! :)

GoddessJules -> RE: Hood piercing question (12/15/2004 2:33:52 PM)

phoenix,

I didn't mean to imply that my personal experience with my hood piercing is a negative one. On the plus side of hood piercings, they are relatively more safe than any other female genital piercing. . .probably the safest. (The hood is equivalent to the male foreskin, it doesn't have very many nerves or blood vessels so it doesn't hurt very much to get one and it heals VERY VERY quickly.) Mine was never painful. . .ever and it healed completely in about 2 days. I can leave it out for MONTHS and still have no problems getting jewelry in it.

I just didn't want to paint a rosy picture that it was *ALL* good for me. Perhaps if you talk to more people, they can tell you that it made sex better for them or they got earth shattering orgasms because of it. I'm just not one of those folks. As I stated before. . .I don't regret getting it at all.

Jules

Just wanted to add (something I forgot about when I posted) that my friend who loved her piercing was a virgin... so I have no idea how it would have affected sex..
Just wanted to make sure I gave you complete info. :) ~daisy~

srahfox -> RE: Hood piercing question (12/16/2004 6:36:38 AM)

There are two main types for hood piercings. The vertical and horizontal. The vertical one is the one that is suppose to give you.. special fun. It's a little barbell and one ball rests directly and very closely to the top of your clit. From what I understand that's the one that tends to be more fun, but then again it apparently has a tendancy to over stimulate and might make you... numb eventually. Although apparently it's not a permanant condition and you can get a larger ball or take it out to fix that. The other one (And the one I have) it horizontal. There's a little hoop partway down the hood and the ball kind of rests vaguely were the top of your clit is. Mine rarely seems to come in contact with it so.. no stimulation. I love mine. It's the cutest thing in the world and the fastest healing. I've had less troubles with it than any of the other piercings. Yes it can get in the way masterbating (Or it did before Master told me I was no longer allowed to do that on my own ) but you learn to work around it. I have never had any trouble during sex or oral. My clit is very senitive as well so it rarely get direct contact anyway. Can you tell I did way too much research before getting it done. I would agree with NEVER getting your clit pierced from what I've heard and read it has a tendancy to destroy everything there and is just not a good idea. You could get an outer labia piercing. But the hood one is much better and much cuter.
here are a few links http://www.bmezine.com/spc/pierc.htm

The second one is likely your best bet.
Really I think it's worth it. I love mine and I have never thought my pussy was cuter.

Couldn't you try a temporary "filler"? I'm not really sure what you could use. If you used something similar and kept it there for a while, just to get a "feel" for it, it might give you a better idea if you could live with an actual piercing. Just a suggestion though. I've toyed with the idea of a hood piercing myself. I've not decided yet though. So, if you do, let me know how it works out for ya...[;)]

I thought about that! Kind of like the "pierceless" nipple rings you can get? I didn't know if that kinda thing existed or not, though. I wonder one of those would work? I think I had some, from when I had been to chicken to get my nips done.

GoddessJules, you are right, your post wasn't negative... just lukewarm, it kinda seemed like to me. :)

I think I may just get my labia done first, and ask the piercer what he thinks while I'm there. (it will distract me from the labia being pierced, anyway!)

Would you like your clit cut partially off? Because that's what would happen if you got your actual CLIT pierced. It's called "common sense".

Actually, you are wrong. If done correctly, the needle is supposed to go behind the collection of blood vessels and nerve bundles that go into the clitoris. That is why most people who get the clit piercing say they do have a highten sense of sexual stimulation because the piecing is *directly* stimulating the nerves. Among my friends, there are a LOT of success stories when it comes to clit piercings. *I* personally am not ready to take that leap. . .but I'm pretty confident that I won't be damaged goods afterward because of the track record of the person I have in mind to do I if I ever decide to do so.

You might want to take that line of thought and discuss it with a professional piercer, if you can get them to stop laughing at you long enough to actually have a discussion. Aside from that, take a look at these experiences of people who have actually gotten such a piercing before.

Hi,
just wanted to say i have a vertical hood piercing and as far as being contanstly aroused, i don't feel its anything like that. i have had mine for a few yrs now and pretty much don't notice it unless it gets twisted wrong within my clothing (can be very uncomfortable) but like i said for the most part i don't even notice it. on the other hand for me personally when a vibrator is put on it and during oral sex i think it feels awesome.

azalea -> RE: Hood piercing question (1/17/2005 9:10:29 AM)

I have a stretched vertical hood piercing as well as two stretched outer labia piercings. The labia piercings do nothing except look pretty. The vertical hood provides me with extra stimulation during masturbation, oral sex and sex. I had a ring that was awkward but the heavier barbell in place now does so much more and feels great. Obviously the experience will be different for everyone. I would recommend finding an experienced piercer in your area and discussing the piercing with them. They can look at your anatomy, see what you'd be right for, and discuss all risks with you. Clearly the best advice won't come from a message board! As for the people linking you to bmezine.com, they have the right idea. BME is the biggest and best body mod site around and any question you can think of will be answered there. Good luck!

IndustrialPet -> RE: Hood piercing question (1/19/2005 1:13:19 PM)

as an ex-practicing body piercer i just had to add my two cents! i had my vert hood done and it did nothing to increase my stimulation. Don't get me wrong it felt cool for like a few days but then i got used to it. I decided to take it out and proceeded to get a horizontal hood which was a little better because when it was tugged on gently it would create a nice pressure that would buld to orgasm, but that only lasted for a month or so. Basically, everyone is different and will have a different experience. I know some people where it rox their world and then others like me who could take it or leave it. I do have to say though that if you decide to get it and your piercer comes at you with a pair of clamps to say no! A much better result can be had when it is pierced using a recieving tube(much the way a nostril is done) than clamps. The clamps have a tendency to squish thing unaturally while a recieving tube is just there to guide the needle resulting in most cases a much straighter more anatomically fitted piercing. If you are really looking for a genital piercing to rock your world i would recommend a triangle. But that is something that should never be done by an inexperienced person!!!!!! If done wrong you could hit an artery(in fact not all women can even fit this piercing)or the main bundle of nerves behind your clit could be damaged! If done correctly though it will go right behind the nerve bundle under your clit and put pressure on it from behind. Do your research though and trust your gut! If a piercer makes you uncomfortable then go to a different one! Good luck![:D]
