I feel a lot of guilt for having sexually sadistic cravings. I draw the line for myself at finding a partner who enjoys receiving what I like to do, no scat, no blood, and no permanent damage to the skin. I like scenes that are artistic and tasteful. I think that anything more extreme than what I do is not sane. Needless to say, I am not into needle play. If a female craved physical pain, I could inflict any level of physical pain without breaking the skin or leaving permanent marks. Just because I fantasize things doesn't mean I would do them. Has anyone here ever thought about doing something criminal, but would never do it in real life. There is respect for the law. There is fear of consequences. There is the fact that I choose to live an exceptionally moral life, helping others, and assuaging human and animal sadness. I don't live to satisfy my sexual appetite or my deviant perversions. But if I can indulge them without causing anyone emotional pain, I don't see the harm in it. I don't fear that if I indulge my primal cravings, that someday I may go out of control. With love, lashes, and endless hugs, Michael I'll be .... someone just said I am not sane .... ain't that kick in the pants .. maybe before you go putting down those of us who do things a certain way you might walk in our shoes . or if you really are that passive maybe you don't want to put down those of us who walk a little different path ....just because you do something one way doesn't make me the least crazy .. and I will sit any day of the week in an armani suit and chit hcat with the likes of Gates and hold a stimulating conversation ... but I still enjoy and crave the stimulation I get from inflicting pain on a submissive especially one who craves what I can deal out .... and I wouldn't want her to pretend to hate it.

Reply to OP: There are those who enjoy inflicting suffering; both physical and psychological. Then there are those who enjoy inflicting pleasureable "pain". Im sure it could be sliced and diced much further than that, but I think thats a pretty good dividing line.

You have me wrong, big guy. I was not putting you down. But I am just as entitled to my opinion as you are to yours. I am sure you draw a line somewhere, too. I do not judge you. But I do judge certain activities. You don't have to agree with me, and I don't have to agree with you. I'm sure a lot more subs want what you have to offer than what I have to offer. And I'm sure if I was in your shoes, I would be you, and feel and believe exactly as you do. In my estimation, your exactly the kind of guy most subs seek out. I just don't understand why you feel you have to damage tissue or leave permanent marks. If this is not what you do, then maybe we don't have any dispute after all. I would never be caught dead in an armani suit, and doubt there is anything I could say that Bill Gates would find stimulating. Anyway, I think Gates is a rather boring guy, and the biggest software pirate of all time. He stole MS-DOS from Gary Kildall. I just picked Gates because he is the posterchild for nerds. I am not a harsh sadist, but I do enjoy a sub who does not enjoy pain at all, but is willing to take it for my pleasure. That is what I enjoy the most. I can also give pleasurable pain to masochists who enjoy it, but I prefer your type. I enjoy inflicting as much pain as a sub can stand, and then a little more. But I do this without breaking the skin, or leaving permanent marks. I like subs whose bodies are not covered with scars and marks. Michael

Micheal I do not consider myself ahead of any person out there . am I different . your dam straight .. but ahead of, or better, nah not at all. Using the Armani just was put there to show I can walk in a multitude of circles and fit in well .. life has been fortunate to deal me those cards. My sadism draws from the mild to the extreme damage tissue .. maybe .. depends on your definition of damaging .. but I do consider myself very sane when I do what it is that I do and I love the taste of animal flesh gimme a good steak anyday . the rarer the better ... and I love the taste of female flesh too <eg> my only reason for my post was merely to point out what you call insane some of us do not and we shouldn't be called names for it. and by the way I am sure there are plenty of girls out there who find you style very attractive and me . well I have been called a sadistic twisted mean ass bastid so ..

whipthehip: You know, the OP was asking a question regarding types of sadism, not your opinion on who's right or who's wrong, or who's "sane" to use your word. rolls eyes You will find many masochists that enjoy the type of sadism that the more sadistic employ (for lack of a better word, forgive me). If you make that kind of judgemental comment in a thread sure to be read and responded to by sadists, be prepared for the backlash. And, no, I'm not pissy or in a bad mood. Just so tired of the "one true way-ism" and all the judgement-passing that has been so prevelant on the boards the past few days.

lmaooo hearing the snow ordeal made me think of a time I had a slave who had said something inappropriate one winter while we were out . I pulled near a snow bank and made her get out . once outside the car I pulled her panties down and lifted her skirt . made her sit right in the snow bank and proceeded to lecture her on her actions ... I could see the snow and cold was getting to her. the warm up was especially nice but oh lord I know she was calling me a sadistic bastard in her brain

But do you think its possible for a genuine sadist (the 'type' that you and I understand) to also be caring? I mean...I used to know one like you're talking about; one who was just really angry at women in general. But I've also known sadists that weren't really pissed off at anyone or hateful at all, but just enjoyed inflicting pain.

no one person acts the same way... but a sadist is simply a person that gains pleasure in the inflicting of pain. However, why a person gains such pleasure in inflicting pain is subjective what pain a person likes to inflict is subjective how a person likes to inflict this pain is subjective where a person likes to inflict this pain is subjective who a person likes to inflict this pain is subjective.... There is no universal answer here. Well said and pretty much sums it up in a nutshelll.
