It is because of the Websters definition of punishment that he doesn't use it, it isn't precise enough for him to use in in our interactions.. here, let me post this: Main Entry: pun·ish·ment Pronunciation: 'p&-nish-m&nt Function: noun 1 : the act of punishing 2 a : suffering, pain, or loss that serves as retribution b : a penalty inflicted on an offender through judicial procedure 3 : severe, rough, or disastrous treatment There is nothing about learning in the definition is the reason I think that we do not use it.
