I am considering purchase of some electrostim toys. From what I've learned, The TENS units aren't really optimal for erotic play. There are three major manufactures Ive seen: P.E.S., Erostek and Rimba. It looks like anyone's toys can be attached to anyone else's box. I'm thinking the top end Erostek box is the coolest but I like some of the P.E.S. toys.

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? What did you love, what did you hate? Who's toys are cool, who's suck and why. Is it worth all the fuss? I mean a full kit with a few toys could easily go over a couple grand.

Your thoughts? Oh...and who out there wants to help me break it in if I get it?

From the brands you mentioned, the ErosTek ET-312 is definitely the standout and gets my unreserved recommedation but you might want to also consider the TX4. I wouldn't bother with 99% of the accessories out there including all the various probes, prods, electrified speculums, etc. Forget the ErosLink software and tri-phase gear. Folsom vacuum nipple cylinders are horrible as are their nipple clamps.

This is what I would recommend for someone getting started with TENS:

1) ET-312 w/battery option (very convenient not to be tethered to the mains) or, as indicated above, consider the TX4. The ET-232 would also be a good choice if you're on a budget.

2) Six to twelve gel electrodes to start. Gel electrodes are the mainstay of TENS for numerous reasons. You'll eventually need more as they're not really reuseable more than 1-2 times despite any claims to the contrary.

3) If you're working on women, the Folsom vaginal probe is a must.

4) The Folsom anal probe is excellent for anal stimulation but somewhat large. For tight quarters use a metal ball electode instead.

Good luck

Thanks for the feedback. Questions...why do you say Nay to the probes etc? I was thinking an anal plug, a vaginal plug, and a couple other insertable toys would be minimum.

Can you really just do all the heavy lifting with well placed pads? Too bad you can't test drive the damn things.

Hunter,

I should perhaps clarify. Well designed probes, such as the Folsom vaginal probe, are very useful and I do recommend them. In my experience, Folsom probes make good electrical contact, with proper care do not have or later develop sharp edges, and are not damaged by proper cleaning. Unfortunately, this can not be said for most probes on the market and it is these products I would stay away from.

Not from your list, but within my experience - i have a PSG Max. It isn't the fanciest, but it has dual channels and is quite adjustable. It comes with standard plug ends and doesn't cost the Earth. It's also quite enjoyable for everything from helping with back problems to...well, you can use your imagination there.

And if you are anywhere near SW Florida, i'll be more than happy to help with the breaking in of any new toys...

I have a Rimba unit as well as a remote controlled Erostek unit.

For your money, the Rimba is the better buy. (IMO)

With the Rimba I spent $140 and received a case, 4 starter pads, the dual output unit, a battery and a set of lead adapters (that fit every other unit other than ErosTek), and 3 sets of leads.

For more than $700 spent with ErosTek I got the single output unit and remote, Lectrogel, the electric penis cap, a metal plug and a set of pads that didn't fit my unit, one set of proprietary ErosTek leads, and a battery. They sent no lead adapters for the electrodes and no case. (It arrived in multiple zippered baggies) It upset me that I had to order MORE from ErosTek (lead adapters) before I could use the unit the first time.

When I contacted ErosTek's customer service regarding my issues, I was sent the curt reply of "They state exactly what is being shipped in the package and nothing more." And yes, they are right....they did ship exactly what I ordered. But is it unreasonable, for $700, I would be able to USE it when it arrived as well as have a place to KEEP it once I was done?

Sorry to rant, but I will not do business with ErosTek again as it seems they have so much money they need not bother with customer service.

My rant and opinion

Ms Sandi

Allow me to echo Master's praise of the ErosTek ET-312. It's an amazing little unit. I had played with Folsom and PES power units before but they never really impressed me. Repeated and impassioned comments from a couple of 312 owners swayed me into buying one of my own and I'm happy that I did.

I disagree that the Eroslink software should be forgotten. It has a rather klunky interface, but the ability to add 6 additional routines to the 312 and create routines of your own is worth the price of the additional software/cable.

I agree with everyone's experience with the ET-312. In one of those needs to "bottom" once in a while, this unit just blows you away. Chrome or plastic, metal stripped anal plugs are fantastic with this unit. You'll feel like you've been attacked by a wild rhino - very nice - and you feel you've run a marathon. Your new, best friend....

I like violet wands, they are exquisite and versatile, and hit nylons with them and they are something.

TENS are excellent IMO, I had patches attached to nipple and labia temp piercings and it was wonderful. I was suprised I liked either one actually, the needleplay and the electrical. I love it now.

I knew how to do it and found that also attaching a tens sticker around a vibrating egg can provide and electric vagina for ones self and one's partner. The person that showed me these things was a very experienced Dom I trusted in NH. ....It was amasing in results being breathelss.

I don't have alot of experience with PES but have heard good things about it, it depends on how much you want to spend.

Good luck and happy kink,
A...

An asortment of playtoys is good depending on the situation.
one good violet wand and a tens unit is a good start.
A PES or Folsum Box is most needed next.
The PES attachments are a bit too high priced and the contacts/ bases do break and wear off/out
I receaved a PES replacement vaginal plug it lasted less then 24 hrs and ITS base broke off..
