ORIGINAL: LaTigresse I might be off base with this opinion but I would imagine that a sucessful D/D relationship requires ALOT of honest communication and respect for one another. Otherwise it will be as you suggested, a battle of ego's with both parties losing. You are absolutely right, we are very open and honest with our communication and truly respect what each other says, feels and believes. I won't say there isn't any competion between us... but it's fun and light hearted. As an example... and the best one by far... we played a game of checkers once. We played until there were positively no moves left and neither of us gave up a single checker... it was great and we still laugh about it. We jokingly say "Nooooo, there's no competion there at all" lmao. But you truly have to be able to put your ego aside and talk openly about everything... and I do mean everything. In doing so you don't step back from each other, instead you embrace each other and celebrate the differences. Jewel
