I'm not opposed to dating vanilla again.... maybe, one day, in the far off future, when I'm 80 and don't care about BDSM anymore - lol. Possibly what has put me off is when I mentioned to a previous vanilla boyfriend tentatively about tying me up, he reacted like I'd asked him if I could tie his kids up and throw them into a shark infested pond. I think his words were something like....'Tie you up? Why the hell would I want to do that? That's just weird/disgusting/perverted....' etc etc... So what worries me is if I date vanilla, really like them and then get this reaction when I mention my 'sexual interests' could I continue to date them without the kink?.... probably not.
However, in saying all that.... happiness is where you find it, so OP... if dating someone vanilla made you happy, then go for it.
