No scat, tickling, feminization.

Acts with substantial phyiscal risks are discussed and considered outside of play.

Since I'm a strongly masochistic man most of the limits are ones she imposes because she thinks they are foolish or isn't sure of her ability to act them out with sufficient safety at this time.

My limits include
1- No permanent marring or cutting of my skin without expressed prior consent.
2- I will not be required to swallow anything other than water.
3- Condoms are required for penetration
4- No spreader bars with high heels on my feet as I've had knee surgery in the past.
5- No serious rope play, electro play, whip play, needle play or medical play till I've discussed your training with you, seen you play with others, or had a chance to speak to others face to face that have played with you before.
6- No critters involved in play.
There's several more, but these are my major ones.

Amoung the other common ones listed here such as scat, children, animals, I would add ballooning of my breasts. This is something that I allowed a few years ago and I have had some issues since then. It just doesn't seem safe anyway to wrap them so tight they change color. My nipples were pierced after this happened and I have had unbelievable problems for the last couple of years including reoccurring infections and lumps.

For me...many of the ones listed above, AND...

While I enjoy needles immensely, I’m appalled to watch so many people engage in this play without first preparing the body for piercing. Doesn’t anybody use gloves & disinfectant? I insist on it.

And I agree of course, no using needles more than once and bag all insertables.

but that's just me...

I think some in this thread have listed hard limits that may not be actually health related - but I may be wrong and I do have questions for those who have listed needles, knives, and fire as health related hard limits. Since Argent and I both play with needles, fire, and knives I am seriously curious, perhaps someone can tell me some things I do not know or have not given enough serious thought to. I recieve all 3 - needles, knives and sharp pointy things, and fire as a sub. I play with knives and pointy things as a top.

Needles - we do use gloves (ok I will admit that at home, just the two of us, more controled enviroment and all - no gloves) but at a party or gathering or demo - yes absolutely, always gloves. We use new, unopened needles and always have a sharps container (have seen bagged needles, even capped, poke through baggies) that all needles and any wipes that might have blood on them go into. We use medical quality single packed wipes purchased through a professional tattoo supply house. All piercing sites are cleaned both before and after, any real bleeders are cleaned, wiped with antibacterial cream, and bandaged. What health issues have we missed?

The precautions taken for fireplay would make this too long to read, we have actually done it long enough now (including demos and classes) that we have written a several pages long safety paper.

Knives and sharp pointy things - between us when alone we do not actually take many "health" precautions. Most of our blades are used only by him on me. They are all cleaned after use before being put away with bleach wipes and antibacterial wipes and left to air dry. This advice came from a medical professional. A lot of what I use in a "knife play" scene on someone else is actually disposable and thus is never used on multiple persons so no skin or body fluids transfer. All blades that are used on someone else are cleaned both before and after scene with both bleach wipes and antibacterial wipes. All knifeplay (with me) is sensual, no cutting (at least not deliberate and so far never happened) and after talking with 2 different medical professionals who also both engage in knife play I have tried to cover the bases as far as any health dangers.

We do keep in mind that especially fire, and to some degree knives, can be unpredictable and thus anyone who enjoys them on either side needs to use care and always be alert for all eventualities. But reading so many on this thread who do list knives and needles as a "health" limit, I have had to think and wonder if we have missed something important. Any help?

Blood, bathroom play, needles. No inverted suspension, I get vertigo easily. If kneeling, a thick pillow is necessary or I may not be able to get up later. And pole bondage with my head tied is out, for some reason it gives me panic attacks. But it's okay for short periods of time if my head isn't tied.

My list is too long to post. Imagine how many things in life there are that we are NOT willing to do which don't come to mind right away, such as acting like a teenager, eating dirt, joining the military, yelling "i'm a slut" in public, etc etc there are million things.

Besides the typical ones (breath play, needle play, scat, etc) i have knee problems, and can't stay on my knees for long periods of times without time to stretch every 15 minutes or so (i haven't tested my boundaries on how far i can actually kneel without my knees starting to hurt real bad, but i'd rather not get to that point). i also have borderline personality disorder and a background of emotional abuse, so no abandonment roleplay or heavy humiliation (i can take some, and can even enjoy a little). Also, my eyes are very sensitive to light and liquids. Strobe lights cause massive headaches, so they are always out, and if my head goes underwater, the water needs to be wiped away before my eyes are opened or my eyes will start burning and itching

The last time i got a shot was at BCT, and when i got the shots, each one streamed blood all down my arm, onto the floor, all over me. It freaked out no few people, and it took several sterile cloths to even contain the blood. i also bruise very easily and needles cause painful bruising different from other bruises. Thus, no needle play. Breath play is a bit more obvious, i think. As is scat. Hope that explains at least my point of view on that!

Besides all the usual ones, i have a condition that affects my joints, so nothing that puts undue stress on any of my joints (particularly my shoulders and hips) and nothing that keeps me immobilised for more than 15 mins in a non 'neutral' position (eg anything other than lying flat on a bed, sitting upright on a hard backed chair, or standing up straight) as that also puts stress on my joints.

Its a pest really, since 15 minutes isnt always enough to get into something properly, but having pushed myself before, i know it really isnt worth the pain or the possibility of dislocations/subluxations.

Also, my skin heals badly and scars easily, so nothing that breaks the skin

Thank you, and obviously in your case it should be a health limit. Breath play and scat I see as health limits (even tho I do like breath play!) For the average person, with the proper precautions, I just think knives, needles and fire get a bum rap! But then I do love edge play! Thanks for your reasons, it is always good to know things like that and I would hope anyone who had real health issues wold always say hard limit because of this and that. Many tops like to try and push limits, so it is good to know it is not a limit in your head, but a real issue. Thank you. Opal

I do hope that you have been evaluated by a doctor to see why you are not clotting properly. This is definitely an issue which could be quite serious and should be addressed.
