Status: offline 		I have done and been in several over night bondage sessions.  Once sealed and locked in full latex, but left un restrained.  Several nights in a latex sleep sack.  Lots of plastic wrap and duct tape.  Sometimes bound to the bed in leather cuffs.  A cathiter and/or diaper is also helpful.  Very often in leather cuffs and collar and chastity belts and/or chastity devices. 

I agree on the safety aspect and never leave a sub alone in any type of bondage.

Status: offline 		Hi Moment and All. Since I do some slefbondage now, I have slept in Leather Wrist and Ankle Straps. For safety reasons, I used Double Ended Clips, in stead of locks, so they can be taken off in an emergenty.

Another thing you might tey, would be Wrist and Ankle Straps, that use Velcro. My wife got her's (Along with matching Collar), from Spencer's Gifts. She got them when she wanted to try Bondage. Well she never did, so I use them at times, instead.They are nice and Soft, and still have Rings to attach to things.

When he arrives he attatches rope to the bed securely, two lengths one to each cuff, I have enough room to move and turn over but still the feeling of being bound, I can get out fast if i have too, when he isnt there he leaves the set up then each night when we speak I put the cuffs on then we say goodnight.

It's kinda like....security blanket for me when he isn't around, ritualistic

Status: offline 		My slave has been secured to the bed each night for the last five years. Her wrists are cuffed together, her ankles are cuffed together and she is chained to the head of the bed by her permanent steel collar. Slave HIS would feel naked if she were not treated thus.

Status: offline 		We practice overnight bondage almost every night - this is usually at least a lockable soft leather collar attached by a metal leash to a bedpost and another leash which is held.

Wrists are sometimes cuffed in front of the body, sometimes to a bedpost also.  Less frequently, ankles are chained or tied also. We hope to restart the wearing of a lycra hood again soon also and wish to purchase or make a sllep sack in the near future. 

It now feels unnatural to sleep unbound.

Over night bondage does have some safety issues that have been expressed.  I have also had a slave in collar and cuffs over night, but I do not leave them alone.  One thing that has not been mentioned are quick release locks.  I have them and they are good and if it is required to be released quickly they work, ideal for emergencies.

Status: offline 		I am chained.  He has a long chain and one end is locked on the iron bed and the other around my ankle.  This enables me to go to the bathroom if necessary, yet reminds me of my status.

Status: offline 		I have been considering a restraint like this, a single chain for his ankle.  My solution to the safety would be access to the key should he need it, on his night table. I have a puzzlebox jewelry box, which sits on the night stand as decoration anyway. I plan on placing the keys to any of the locks he wears in there, his collar, chastity device and eventually his ankle restraint. I trust he will stay out of the box, and it makes enough noise being opened that I would know if he tried without permission. However, that also means should something happen, he can undo his own locks.
My only concern is the bathroom issue.  I plan on diapering if we make it to this point, but im just a touch clueless... so that'll be its own experiment.  I am sure I can find more than enough advice on what sort to use when I ask for it  (and if anyone wants to volunteer some, PM me)

Status: offline 		I have been locked up overnight as well on many occasions.

The first times were in high school. I would sleep over a freinds house and if he got drunk enuf he would sometimes handcuff me which wasn't comfortable at all. Sometimes behind the back and sometimes around the bed posts.

Other times later in life it was leather locking restraints which were locked but not always attached to the bed. When they were, it was horrible as you cant move at all. I do agree that this practice is dangerous and probably shouldnt be administered at all. The risk of fire or another embarrassingly deadly emergency is too great to ignore.

Status: offline 		there is a thread on bedtime rituals that discusses this at length. There is always one's safety to be considered. Also, I believe that if one is not willing to stay in the bondage I place on them and only escape in an emergency, they are not willing to truly serve me and my wishes. If using locking restraints I make sure that my sub has a key within reach at all times. One of my tricks is a hidden pocket on the inside of my little girls pillowcase. It velcros shut and holds the keys to all of our bed locks. I invested in special small MasterLock padlocks that are all keyed alike. Initially we started with four but then placed a special order for 20 identical small padlocks. So, both my little girl and my sissy boy each have a key for the locks in their wallets for emergencies, and my little girl has one in her pillow case. There is also one on my keyring, my fireproof lockbox, our safety deposit box at the bank, our toybag, with a trusted community member, and a handful of secret places. We are a bit overprotective but I'd rather be cautious than sorry. Even though each of my subs have their own key, they have only collectively used them a handful of times. Each was a time in which it was absolutely necessary and was a time in which I would have unlocked them. I want my subs to be smart and make educated and informed decisions on their own.

Status: offline 		I was restrained over night ,last night for the fist time in months and loved it every minute of it. I wore leather cuffs cliped together in front of me. I also had  my ankles tied together and secured to the end of the bed.My senses were too heightened to sleep well plus it was really hot last night and we have no aircon.

Status: offline 		Again, thanks for all the opinions and experieces! I've built one cell, one cage (portable) for my house. (too damn bad I'm moving in a few months). I don't know why I did'nt use my skills to do this before. The cell is permanent, in the basement. I've bolted steel railings in to the concrete floor in a 4x8ft size. Using a welder and some 1 inch square steel rods to build a 7ft tall frame to the bolted steel on the floor. I then enclosed the frame by welding a woven steel mesh on top, and the sides of the frame. Very secure! After fabricating the door I cut out a piece of the mesh large enough on the door to be able to reach the lock on the pin from the inside. This was all constructed fairly cheap (under 500 dollars) using common materials and tools. In the interest of safety, I've built a 3 inch square box, of very thin, easily breakable paper board. Inside, is the key. I hang the box with a zip tie in the corner of the cage for emergencies. The portable cage is in my room, it's 6 ft in length, 3 feet wide and foour feet tall, constructed of similiar materials... I'm really getting into creating my own furniture and devices, what a great hobby! Cheers to everyone

Status: offline 		I agrees with Areflection with you... I am required to wear a sleeping collar everytime i go to sleep with my partner... the ritual of preparing for bed is enjoyable and enhances the D/s element to our relationship.

Status: offline 		One way to keep the keys is to modify a C-clamp so that it can be locked once its tightened. Place keys in a sealed envelope and clamp envelope to bedframe or the side of your cage. If slave has an emergency they can rip open the envelope to get the keys but the Master will always know it was done. Theres no way the slave can use another envelope and put it back into the locked closed clamp.

'Spent a wondeful night in an attic in MN zippered into a leather "mummy" bag. Mistress slept one floor below. There was a baby monitor (and strict instructions NOT to wake Mistress with it) -- which even ruled out snoring.

She installed a catheter eliminating the last possible reason to wake her. The hellish part was waking up (helpless) to the smell of cofee and bacon. ;-)

An even more subtle (and maybe hotter recollection)...

Naked, in bed w/Mistress, instructed NOT TO WAKE HER, arms fetterd behind me in leather mittens that forced me to curl up my fingers into balls Think I slept, like 20 min. that night. Sometimes simple is better.

Status: offline 		Interesting topic...I have been trying to understand the reasoning behind overnight bondage...The only reason I've come across that made any sense to me is to prevent any overnight, disallowed self-touching and feeling that some subs like to try to get away with...Not trying to change the OP's purpose for this thread, but I am curious as to ppl's reasons for overnight bondage.
