This reminds me too much of a schoolyeard bullying crowd and i can not take it. i come in and i'm polite and looking to learn and is it then so wrong to expect some politness in return?

Be well all of you.

I have no idea what happened, but I think it's wrong that too often people are brought to tears because of how they are mistreated on forums.

Come'on, people. Let's remember that behind each screen name is a real human being. We can disagree politely, unless we have a personal deficiency that we need to take out on others.

c'mon now...chill out, it's a forum, we can't expect everyone to be all nice and polite all the time, it takes all kinds and that's what makes this forum so interesting and even amusing at times, how boring would it be if we all agreed and were extremely cautious not to "offend" .... the hell with that, speak your mind and don't whine at the replies.

glad you decided to come back.

Hi. :) Not sure if you are replying to Nella, as your closing lines indicate, or to me, as your "in reply to" indicates.

But, I would like to make it clear that I generally agree with you and my remarks are neither specific to this forum, nor anyone here in particular. Instead, my observation is more general towards "forums" in general and the fact that too often it is forgotten that real people with real feelings are behind each username.

Words by themselves are too often misinterpreted (especially without the in-person advantage), as it appears was the case here. But before another is personally ripped into, a little thoughtfulness goes a long ways for making better dialogue and fun.

Just food for thought. . .let's also consider that no matter how you word it. . .some people take what others say (especially if it isn't in accordance with their view) as "mean" harrassing" or "threatening." You can't make *everyone* happy.

Also, let me point out that the original poster admits that she took what was said out of context and overreacted to it due to emotional baggage over previous episodes in her life.. I think it was very noble and big of her to admit it. What really *was* disgusting was to see all the people who came out of the woodwork to add fuel to the fire and instigate.

Exactly, Jules and Stef are always ganging up on me. Whether they notice it or not. Yet, I stick around and hold my own quite nicely. At least I think I do.

My goal in life is to be the thorn in your side.

Agreed. That is not in dispute. :) Nor would a little more thoughtfulness by those receipients before they respond be bad.

I duly noted that error in my response to ruffnecksbabygir, and fully agree with You about Nella's noble admission. However, not having witnessed the original incident, my initial comment here was again only Internet-general. However, it has specific roots from my having seen others unfairly damaged emotionally in other forums.

Generally speaking, I've been very much impressed by how much more of a real community this forum is.

Anyways, I'm no forum cop, nor do I ever intend to impose my values upon anyone. I only felt the need to respond to another's real tears.

Misunderstandings don't need to be made worst.

My greetings and best wishes to all here.
