Well, the sports I enjoy are swimming, kickboxing and inline skating, the body you get from that is not quite the waif look, you have muscle and definition and tend to look more athletic than a waif. Plus a bit hard to stay pale doing outdoor sports, now I couldn't care less but when it was all the rage to look unhealthy and frail, I just wasn't happy with how I looked naturally.

I think the older you get the more comfortable you get with your own looks and far less concerned in following some ridiculous beauty ideal, when I look at the Emo fashion (pretty much Goth but the haircuts seem much more expensive), I see the "heroin chic" again and actually feel sorry for the kiddies who get sucked into it.

GIven My momentary rant which seems to only come on occasion ( thanks Ladies for the hugs and "go girls"!--smiles)---I have to say I am so much happier than I have ever been, though I have been, at all phases of My life---I am blessed with a wondorous growing young adult, a great occupation and the love for My horses---there is more of a feelling of self fulfillment.

I'd like to think that as each "age" grows, we are able to help the "younger"ones with the access, the knowledge, some wisdom here and there to be able to avoid our pitfalls.

Its nice as Lady C says: not to worry, to schlep to get mower gas in ballcap, jeans and tank top and exude the air of confidence---there are however those moments when I would like to reach out and smack some smug son of a bitch--I haven't figured if that's confidence or hormones!

You can always blame that on PMS, but to remove the smugness of the guy's face, I recommend an interested look at his crotch and then a raised eyebrow and a condescending smile (in case you feel particularly cruel, acting like you're suppressing a giggle), works wonders for his confidence and will sting him longer than a smack.

The headaches haven't been too bad lately... I don't know, it's weird. I have increased my coffee intake which is the only way I have found so far to almost safely take care of them. how is your thyroid???i know of one that has a thyroid condition and she has headaches from time to time....and she rids them with a strong shot of caffeine.hope you feel better..

My thyroid is a problem. I had a goiter and graves disease and was told it would switch to hypoactive after about twenty years. It started switching and I gained weight many years ago but was finally medicated and then it balanced out and didn't need the meds. I think it went off again and without a doctor here, I can't get it regulated yet. So that may be playing a part, but for the most part it is the cadasil and just a fact of life I guess. Hell it is too confusing to tell what is causing what and what is adding to it all. But thank you... I hadn't thought about the thyroid adding to it! Plus I know that pain is causing my blood pressure to go up and that can cause headaches too. I just need to find a good doctor that isn't scared of me!

Anyone who knows me, I'm a big proponent of proper nutrition. Basically, my digging in and fighting for real answers saved me a lot grief - physically, emotionally and psychologically. It's good you're feeling better - and regular coffee not only has caffeine (which a little could be helpful) but raises cortisol levels (a stress hormone). I bet you're not drinking too much since that might have the opposite effect. But if it's helping, I wonder if you needed your cortisol levels increased - from the mayo clinic site:

Cortisol, the primary stress hormone, increases sugars (glucose) in the bloodstream, enhances your brain's use of glucose and increases the availability of substances that repair tissues.

Anyway, my last pitch to you...I truly can't imagine magnesium citrate (at a normal dose) could harm you. It's often 'part' of having a headache since we're often deficient.

Now back to the thread....

I actually just reinstalled for the 10-day demo to try and get back into the swing. My Tauren Druid has been neglected too long.

I do admit, that as one ages, there is a tendency (at least in the U.S.) for people to put on weight. But just take a look at the young people in this country, and you'll see that a LOT of them are large as well.

Quite universal I think, people just get comfortable and work out less and eat more. I am everything but a weight nazi, some people have medical issues but I refuse to believe that most of the people who weight far too much have medical issues (unless you count chocs, fast food and lack of exercise as such), the amount of girls 10 years younger than me but with bodies and skin 10 years older (yeah, sunbeds are such a GREAT thing for your skin) was pretty shocking today, what was even more shocking was the way they dress. And nope, I am not an old foggy who believes in a certain way you should dress, but I believe that people should dress in a way that suits them, somebody who's clinically obese simply does not look great in a skin tight, white micro mini or shorts, a pot belly won't become sexy if you wear midriff displaying clothes. Nothing against ample cleavages, got one myself, but if I turned the skin into badly cured leather by frying myself into a sun bed, I might not want to wear a top that is cut far too low and displays acres of crinkles. I seriously hope they are going to stop manufacturing golden leggings completely but it would be a mercy if the stop manufacturing lycra and hot pants in plus plus sizes.

It would have been such a beautiful day but the sights that were forced on my innocent eyes today make me want to reach for a bottle and seek oblivion.

I often agree with you, but this seems off. At the very least, their kink is not your kink. They're calling attention to their "plus size" bodies, stating they are sexual and should be seen that way. There are both men and women who are attracted to heavier women. Someone else letting it all hang out isn't really going to ruin your day, though it might be British-sarcastic to say so.

Also, from an economic perspective, there will be more plus-sized smexy clothes sold in the years ahead, not fewer. Fashion gets increasingly physically provocative over time, and human bodies north of the Equator are getting larger over time. I think you should watch me serve you by choking my chicken. That beautiful sight will banish all other images from your mind.
