He, he.  Post Y/yr curse in a language other than English, with translations for U/us lazy P/pl.

Mine is Latin:

Curse:  "Obesa cantavit."

Translation:  The Fat Lady has sung.

Czech is my favourite - "korva" (courr-va) just sounds so right, for what it means.

Being a Lady of course, I couldnt possibly say here what it means though.

I used to be able to curse fluently in French and German, but have lost a lot of my vocabulary since it's not something I use often. Oh well. However, I do curse quite fluently and often in English.  =)

"Bumsenmüde" would mean something like "tired of fucking," not "fucking tired."

Daddysredhead -> RE: Versatility in Cursing (10/18/2006 6:59:49 PM)

I also speak french and sinhala.  I used to be okay in french, but have found that speaking in sinhala when I am pissed is a lot more interesting to watch other people because they have no clue.

However, I have had several grown men (former Marines) tell me that my swearing, when I am beyond furious, is something to behold as it rivaled that of most things that their comrades-in-arms could come up with.  It's horrible to have such a temper that makes people cringe when it becomes a barrage of filth...  but, very cathartic at times...  Master has only heard me go off like this once at someone and He just looked at me when I was done raving like a lunatic, and raised His eyebrows.  I looked at Him and tried to simmer down.  He said, "Damn...  and you're a submissive.  I'd hate to imagine you as a Top.  But, if you ever talk to me like that, I will burn your ass up."  I just smiled at Him and said, "Yes, Sir."  (I like boundaries...)

edited for typo

siouxie -> RE: Versatility in Cursing (10/18/2006 7:05:51 PM)

i can curse in british sign language, but it's a little hard to do online!

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Versatility in Cursing (10/18/2006 7:09:51 PM)

I can swear fluently in yiddish, thanks to a Jewish Grandmother growing up who was afraid we would pck up bad langage if she swore in english.

One of my favorites, Gai Kocken Afen Yam (go take a shit over the ocean)
and whats funnier, I have taught my managers how to swear in yiddish too, since they can do it in front of customers and no one knows what they are saying.  Much safer when we slip.

gooddogbenji -> RE: Versatility in Cursing (10/18/2006 7:13:41 PM)

Fick dich ins Knie (Fuck yourself in the knee, German)
Gopferdeckelhueresiechnonemal! (Entirely untranslatable, possibly similar to goddammitwhoreguyagain, Swiss German)

Yours,

benji

My ex (of 13 years) is originally from SL.  I lived there for a while.  I have a degree in French, and pick up languages fairly easily.  My father laughs that I am the only mom on the block who can chastise her unmentionables in three languages in 30 seconds.  lol...

You are quite correct, miss.  "Gay Kocken afen yam" is "Go shit in the ocean"  I learned it as "gay kocken afen yam und bachen bagels" which is "go shit in the ocean and bake bagels!"

There is no Hebrew or Yiddish word for "cunt".  There are borrowings from German, but the most common modern insult is "Kus Emach" using "kus" (cunt) from the Arabic and "Emach" (of your mother) from the Hebrew.

So the next time you are anywhere in the Mid-East and see a group of adolescent boys, shout "Kus Emach!" (your mother's cunt!)  The beauty of this is you'll get your ass kicked, be they Israeli, Palestinian, Jordanian, Egyptian, Lebanese...etc.

You gotta love efficiency in swearing.

Aeon -> RE: Versatility in Cursing (10/18/2006 7:39:22 PM)

Let's see Spanish....Favor de no estar chingando= Quit Your Bitchin!
                            Chinga tu madre= Fuck Your Mama
                            Besa mi culo= Kiss my ass
                            Chupa mi Verga= Suck my dick
                            Bendejo=Asshole
                            Chingado=Fuck
                            Pinche Bastardo=stingy bastard
                            Cayete los sicos=shut the fuck up
              French....Maird=Shit
Excuse me if any of the spelling is wrong here...i can pronounce but not necessarily spell correctly, but then these are usually things said and not written....lol.
And I do know some Russian and German but only the niceties. No curses. What can i say...reluctant teachers....lol.

Edited to add Puto and Jota which= pussy and whore in Spanish

gooddogbenji -> RE: Versatility in Cursing (10/18/2006 7:42:19 PM)

Yours,
