That was ridiculous. A clear interception taken away and changed the outcome of a game. Bet the lockout ends right quick.

One would only HOPE so...

The lockout won't end as long as the stands are full. The NFL (Roger Goodell) is not terribly concerned about the integrity of the game. This is all about money, like just about everything else in life. After three weeks of this and after what happened Monday night if there are still sold out stadiums this coming weekend then you could arguably place a fair portion of the blame on the fans themselves. A fan boycott is the only path to an early resolution of this labor dispute.

Jets lose big. One more and Tebow will start before the end of Oct.

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/1/2012 6:03:27 AM)

Packers endured one more bad call on a fumble recovery. but manage to come away with a 2-2 record. Next up for the Pack. Colts, Texans and Rams, all on the road.

cloudboy -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/1/2012 6:49:44 AM)

That's a good one.

ATL, HOU, and SF all look like the best teams at this point in the season, but Matty Ice could melt in the playoffs again, Matt Schaub might get injured again, and SF isn't the same when playing from behind.

Hillwilliam -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/7/2012 5:33:17 PM)

Prediction for tonight.

Jets will lose, Tebow faction will call for him to start even louder.

TNDommeK -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/7/2012 7:10:23 PM)

Niners [:)] ESPN said the NFL should have a "mercy" rule. [:D]

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/7/2012 7:25:35 PM)

There's no "mercy" in football( said with my best Tom Hanks voice) lol

Yay! My JAY! EEE! TEE! ESS! JETS!!! JETS!!! JETS!!! didn't lose tonight. Of course, they didn't play, either but I had to give a little dig to my buddy, Hilly!

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Hillwilliam -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/7/2012 8:32:10 PM)

I forgot, It's tomorrow they lose.

DaddySatyr -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/7/2012 8:48:44 PM)

I think their loss is a foregone conclusion. I wish to mention, though that before the season, I wasn't talking about Superbowl rings or the like.

As a matter of fact, I remember predicting (maybe not here) that it would take four games for the crowd to start calling for Tebow and that he would win two and lose the rest. I've been right so far.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Hillwilliam -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/7/2012 8:52:02 PM)

I'm not even sure he can win 2. It depends on how many times they play the fish.

TNDommeK -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/7/2012 10:06:10 PM)

Winner winner chicken dinner!!

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/8/2012 9:35:53 PM)

Is there a receiver in the NFL that Antonio Cromartie can cover ?
Seriously, where did anyone ever get the idea that this guy was actually an NFL corner ?
My mother could run a double move on this guy [&o]

I feel your pain Mike...I am a closet Rams fan and have been suffering for years... Finally they are getting half way decent corners. Damn I hope they continue to improve. I've been wanting to brag and post here for a long time...maybe my day will come soon...[:D]

cloudboy -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (10/14/2012 8:24:29 PM)

There don't appear to be any dominant teams. The salary cap pretty much makes it impossible to build one.

I don't consider the Ravens a dominant team, but they made the AFC Championship Game last year and their off season saw: (1) The Departure of their best guard to NO; (2) The departure of their rock solid OLB, Jarret Johnson to SD; (3) ACL injury to Terrell Suggs; (4) Big contract to Ray Rice.

Now the team has lost Ray Lewis and top CB Ladarius Webb ($50M K signed in off season) for the season.

Once a team peaks, unless it can quickly restock itself through the draft, it will begin to slide as its players seek maximum money. Toss in a few injuries and a team can slip to 8-8 or less rapidly. I think NE and GB must have similar issues.

BAL now has a no-name LB corps. A 14 year strength is now a weakness.
