Who would have thought that at the end of week one, The Giants would be at the bottom of their division?

Carl Banks (legendary '86 Giant) does the Friday and Monday midday show on the local sports radio (WFAN, NY) and he has this phrase he's been using to describe the Giants for a few years. He says that "they can't handle prosperity"; that they always need to be playing catch-up.

I don't know. Maybe it's true but I never would have thought that they would have been quite that lack-lustre against a division rival.

In fairness, I think I said it, here, a few weeks ago ... I know I've said it to a few people that I know; I think Cruz is injured. I believe it and I think Tuck is, too.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I dunno. They looked awfully good in the second preseason game.[8D]

I have honestly come to a point where I think the JETS were "laying dog" and not giving away ANY indicators of what they were up to. I think, like most teams in the NFL, they do their best pre-season work in the enclosed practice facility.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Just yankin ya chain. Don't worry, "Tebowmania" will take over. The coach will be forced to start him and then y'all are fucked because every Def Coordinator in the world has those old Broncos tapes.

DaddySatyr -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (9/10/2012 2:05:22 PM)

My concern is that Revis (head injury/mild concussion) might be out for the Steelers' game. If he's not on the field, you can mark that as a loss, now.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

DarkSteven -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (9/10/2012 7:51:31 PM)

UMMMMMM. do they both SUCK?

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (9/10/2012 8:20:50 PM)

I hope it was just opening game jitters. Packers host the Bears this coming Thursday night. I guess we will soon find out.

DarkSteven -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (9/10/2012 9:06:50 PM)

What idiot at the NFL was responsible for scheduling Raiders-Chargers to start so late as to go past midnight EST?

kitkat105 -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (9/10/2012 10:49:55 PM)

DarkSteven - on the local tv/radio they are promoting "Oakland" sports this week, basically they want us many people us possible to go see the 3 teams to increase attendence because apparently 1 or all might leave within the next 5 years. So I'm guessing most of the games will start well and truly after workhours so the maximum amount of people can attend.

Oh yeah, and traffic is better after 7 [8D]

Week 3 of the season and I have to go to page 4 to retrieve this thread ?
What has happened to CM's football fans....oh well, here goes one fans ramble.
The week starts off with the G-men whitewashing the Panthers(what was Cam doing with the Superman end zone celebration while his team is getting beaten so badly ?)
The J-E-T-S pull out a squeaker in Miami, sometimes freezing the kicker works, sometimes it doesn't....lol
And as I sit and watch the Sunday night game I can't help but feel for the Ravens receiver Smith, whose brother died early this morning in a tragic motorcycle accident he insisted on playing....just caught a Flaco pass in the endzone,I can not imagine the emotions that kid is going thru.

tazzygirl -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (9/23/2012 7:09:41 PM)

lol.. The Panthers won last week.. I am a happy girl for the season.

Steelers lost to the Raiders.... again.. a happy girl [:D]
