...is just plain limousine trash living on other people's merit and other people's money and using snobbery to confuse that reality.

"You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."  - John Kerry

And Bush made his money how?

It is common knowledge that the military is a viable option for the underpriviledged.  I guess the White House just didn't like hearing it.

And what about all of Cheney's comments denigrating the Liberals while serving as our Vice President?  Remember he's the Liberals VP, too.

I agree with Ron.  I'm unmoved.

His utterly pretentious arrogance.  He slaps people in the face with his insolence.

I wonder how the men and women serving liked it?

I do believe Kerry when he says he did not mean it as a slam, but I also think he and Limbaugh can compare notes on how their shoes taste.

sissifytoserve -> RE: John Kerry... (10/31/2006 4:53:50 PM)

Kind of like how Bush makes me keel over with laughter with his utter stupidity.

But then I have to stop and say....holy shit...people actually voted for this inbred clown.

Then you must have a hell of a case of the ass at Cheney for shooting a guy in the face with his impudence..............I guess I can feature that.....

Color me unpreturbed, still.

Interesting that you cut the part about Cheney out of the quote.  You can throw him in with Kerry and Limbaugh and we might as well throw in Bill O'Reilly while we're at it.  Hell, throw all politicians in and their spin makers.  They're all guilty of it.

Like I said.  I'm unmoved.

That is pretty much always the case, no way a genuine patriot will be allowed to run. Ever see the movie They Live?

Mercnbeth -> RE: John Kerry... (10/31/2006 5:11:44 PM)

Kerry's words are the best evidence yet of an Illuminati organized political system. How else can you explain a leading Democrat providing the best "October Surprise"?

Let's see, he's got the American Legion (http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/10/31/204-10312006.html), Democratic Congressman (http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=2619383&page=1), mothers of soldiers from Boston (http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/10204420/detail.html), and every political pundit in the US pointing to the Democratic party as the party who believes you must be stupid to be in the military.

And what a GREAT time for him to be assertive! (http://apnews.myway.com/article/20061031/D8L3SB884.html) Blaming the White House for his stupidity is as amazing as him pointing to President Bush's college records when it turns out he had lower scores. Amazing. How hard is it to do what he and his party want the President to do; say he made a mistake? Of course now he's trying to explain. Calling the White House full of "policial hacks". Well, some of us, even if we disagree maintain respect for the office and what it represents. Disrespect of that nature gets more "old folk" pissed and out of the home. Basically the feathers are out of the pillow and scattered. Good luck trying to repack them in the case.

What was a bad idea for a joke is now mobilizing millions to vote against change. Unfortunately most of the voting population won't ever know that was the case.

What about poor Phil Angelides? He may get less votes in the general election than he got in the primary. By my philosophy of voting anyone in office out, I have to vote for him! I guess it will be me, his wife, and him. But I hear Arnold's working on his wife.

Another 4 years of Arnold in CA.

Good news for the Democrats, John Kerry's 2008 re-run is officially over.

sissifytoserve -> RE: John Kerry... (10/31/2006 5:28:56 PM)

They play on the same team Merc.

Bushie and Kerry are...

Both members of Yale's skull and bones secret society.

Blood relatives.

career politicians.

They are the same with different flavors.

Neither of them should ever hold public office again.

WyrdRich -> RE: John Kerry... (10/31/2006 6:28:11 PM)

It was a stupid comment and his refusal to apologize just makes it worse.

I also resent the "limosine trash" remark.

Too bad it's also often-times true.
How many men came back in body bags from Vietnam with PhD's in their pockets?
The military sends recruiters to shopping malls and places where kids with nothing but time on their hands hang out. They entice them with the idea of "money for college"...and then turn around and send them off to a foreign land to die for a questionable cause.
For some kids, the military offers the only way out of a dead-end, minimum wage situation.
Don't think for a second that military recruiters don't use that to their advantage. They are salesmen who just happen to work for the armed forces.

Not.  I spent several years getting very up close and personal with nuclear weapons after going to school for 6 months, courtesy U.S. Army.  While I wasn't being shot at, those several years up close and tinkering with fissile material and a half ton of high explosives almost daily were not risk free in any context.  But that 6 months and several years also became part of a college degree which was paid for courtesy U.S. taxpayers.  The experience not only launched me into a splendid career but remains on my resume today and is readily recognized for its value.

What I said does not in any way discount or nullify your experience.
Do you not have the capacity to accept that your experience is not identical to every other person in the armed forces?

"Not."
Didn't John Kerry use that as a rebuttal in one of the presidential debates?
