Yeah, it reminds me of when Zoot lit the Grail Shaped Beacon.

First I must tie julia to the bed and spank her.

Then comes the oral sex.

You're allowed to say that in this thread since you are a Twue Master.

Well, to get the thread back on track,

Following is a definition of the word "Master" from Dictionary.com

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/master

In only one of those definitions do I find gender referred to, specifically the male head of a household.

Now, if you have your own personal definition of what a master is (Male owner of a slave, for example), I would point out that your own personal definition may not be all encompassing for other posters on here.  Perhaps you can google a web site which adheres to the protocol you personally prefer to exist in.

Google the "English to Fuddian" translator program to fully understand what a Twue Mastew is.

Dear Another, Ladies and Gentlemen;

Another--Tal.

In the referencing of Gor/Gorean; the female version to address this would be the Panther.

That said,  I do find myself heavily drawn to the more masculine man, mostly Gay Leathermen.  One of my closest Gay Leatherman friend said something rather true, as well as one of my Heterosexual Master friend uses as well, in some degree-- "I'm a Gay Leatherman trapped in a Heterosexual woman's body."  My Heterosexual Master friend, who always has a lot of humor, says often; "I'm a fat ugly Lesbian trapped in a man's body."  I identify as a Heterosexual Dominant.  I do have no problems with any gender slave in service to me.

In my mind's eye; it is beyond the genitals and "sex" focus but, more the beauty, art, spirit of service that might manifest sensual but, does not define it into sex.

I do identify as a Master and when I owned my first slave Michael who was Gay; he addressed me as Master or SIR.  Wearing female trappings, he still addressed me as SIR or Master.  I also do take personal pride in artfully using my knowledge, skills and reach beyond the body's frame, into the mind, spirit and emotions of the slaves.  Even my cane work, whip work and my touch, often reaches into the core of some slaves.

Using the term of "Master" really is gender neutral, as you see this in the scene as more of a mastery of a relationship, joined with spirit of intent that strives to take slaves to a higher state, where there is more freedom and more control over how things flow, with the total summary of bringing pleasure to the Master, freeing that Master from focus on the basics and freeing the mind on how to serve the slave's needs/wants/welfare on soaring in safe, secure and admired state in service.  Much like holding a butterfly gently in the palms of open hands.  The butterfly (the slave) remains because they wish to--not forced to.

You will also find, that Master is given through the ages, to those women who master the arts and letters of education; also in skills such as fencing, martial arts, religion in some Eastern cultures, Fox Hunting and other areas of life.

I do agree with Archer, that some ladies like me; have a slight displeasure in being addressed as "Mistress" due to the more modern ties to being the 'other woman' who causes a rift in a husband/wife relationship.  Just as Madam would be a distasteful title, due to the prostitutional link.  Yet, in Europe--specificly England; HRH Queen Elizabeth's II correspondences is always started as; "Dear Madam."
In Colonial America, women of the house were always addressed as Mistress; as it was the etiquette of the time.  It was shortened to Mrs.
Mistress to the non-married was Miss.  Mr. was short for Master.

In the realm of M/s, D/s, S&M, Bondage, BDSM; Master is a term often bestowed by peers.  I do find Masters who have earned their title, no different than a Bishop; as we see females starting to wear that title.
Masters of this community, as well as my dominant peers regardless of title they are bestowed with, use or identify with; do try to always improve upon their skills, knowledge and relationships, up to the date of death.

Some Masters, male and female, straight, bi-sexual, Lesbian and or Gay appreciate an intelligent exchange.  It provides the benefits of knowledge, skill and understanding how to see through another's 'mind's eye.'

Regardless of title used--the journey for individuals may take different routes but, the end summary of such a journey is to find one's happiness.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

Greetings, LadyHugs:

I always enjoy reading your posts and this one in particular made me recall a fond habit:  addressing letters to my nephews.  I cannot recall when I was taught this, but I always address mail to young boys with the title "Master" on the envelope.  Master Richard Smith, for example.  Just another custom that defies a rigid perception.

Best wishes,
Christine

Dear feylin, Ladies and Gentlemen;

Indeed, the postal/letter writing etiquette/protocol is very interesting.

When HRH Princess Anne, daughter of HRH Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, Queen's Consort; married Captain Mark Phillips; the title "Master" was bestowed on their first male child; as to designate that child outside of the royal line of succession to the throne.

When I send correspondance to those in the scene, I do use old etiquette; to which I address it:

Master of the House
Mr. John Doe
Address
State, Country

For Ladies;
Lady of the House
Mistress Jane Doe (Or what discreet title I can use)
Address
State, Country

I have never received a complaint from the receiving party, actually they were quite tickled.  Even the Post Office enjoys the 'difference.'

Interesting little tid bit, is how the stamp is placed in the right corner, it had to be one quarter inch from the top and one quarter inch from the right envelope edge.  This allowed the total seal to cancel the stamp to be applied directly center.

History is rather interesting, how it applied then and now.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

Doesn't the OP make her own question redundant?  She already answers her own question by starting and responding to this thread.

I guess if she wants MORE than one reason, she could still ask- but her basic questioning and seeming lack of understanding seems moot unless she's completely lacking in self awareness.

Eh...this is an easy one. The Leather lifestlye is non-gender specific. A Master is someone who has EARNED the title, not because they one day decided to be called "Master Puff-and-stuff" Females can also earn their leathers and earn the title "Master"

Personally, I respond here when I beieve I have something to add.  I post in the ask a slave/submissive category as well, have been in the aska  switch one a few times.  I dont really pay much attention to where a post is located, more what the content is, and if I have anything to add to that content.
I am a Domme and an owner, I do not identify as a Mistress persay, since I dont really like the title. So, that would mean I should be precluded from answering in the Ask a Mistress forum as well?

Since she targeted dommes in her OP I am thinking that she does not count in the "people not allowed to post here" category... even though she is not a slave, but a Gorean freewoman.

Tal,

And wow, a condisending view from someone that is to good to learn anything from the likes of a Gorean. I credit the Woman of Gor for having the nads to address an issue where she surely must have known the popular context of the dialogue would be to assault her beliefs while they claim all should accept their own.

Interested,

Bull

What? guessing the bull part is right. oops that was condensending.
