Girl, you just don't know what you're missing...    It is beautiful...  It's a part of you or the person you love, and it is part of what makes women unique...
Besides, haven't you heard that sex is only dirty if it's done right?!    M

To me it is also about a woman learning to accept, appreciate & love all that nature gave her that is part of who she is as a woman.  Once she has done that, I can then be free to love her unconditionally, appreciating everything about her, including learning to love and accept the things that might annoy me about her as well.  

There is nothing quite as intimate for me as sharing the experience of perfectly natural things that are unique to a woman and her body.  It is incredibly exciting and satisfying for me to be with a woman who has no hang-ups about her body or its natural functions; allowing me to appreciate everything about her that makes her a woman and share the most intimate experiences imaginable related to those things with her in countless pleasurable and creative ways.   I just can't begin to tell you how deeply that pushes my buttons and how much I hope it does the same for the woman I eventually wind up sharing my life with when the right one comes along.

I'm not certain that your views on tampons are medically correct, having been with a former Mistress who could easily saturate one.  There was always a certain amount of menstrual blood present following insertion of a fresh one as well. 

I used to frequently provide service by washing her with warm water applied with a squeeze bottle which she found quite refreshing when either changing pads or tampons, the former of which I'd normally be responsible for removing from her panties and applying a fresh one in its place.  It was an intimate service that I personally found rewarding in that it often brought us closer at an ucomfortable and awkward time of the month for her.  I regularly used reflexology and massage to provide additional relief for her.  You might say she'd had somewhat of a similar upbringing to yours in regard to the views which were impressed upon her by her mother with respect to her body and sexuality; in particular, the purposes behind what I view as the perfectly natural functions that normally occur in the female body.

It is also "not my thing" mainly because of the hereditary heavy bleeding that I endure.  I am, however, still very interested in sex no matter what day of the month it is and just find ways around it.

Regardless of how heavy your flow is, some women I've been with have simply inserted tampons and washed themselves up before they indulge themselves in some oral stimulation from their partners without having much of a mess to view after their pleasure is over.  You'll also find that certain techniques for massage and using reflexology on the ankles above the feet can reduce the symptoms from menstruation and greatly improve how things might feel for you at that particular time of the month.
