...should go for impeachment and war crimes against both Shrub and Chinless.

I think a President Pelosi would be fun and shake things up a bit in a much needed way.
I agree.  Everyone knows it does take a woman to clean a house properly. Actually, she'll probably designate it to a proper male slave. (but this one looks like the morning aftermath of the toga party of Animal House)

The whole situation will be interesting to watch unfold.  I do like Pelosi.  I knew nothing of her prior.  But I think if she does her job.. she has a good shot at the presidency herself. I like her demeanor and her self-control of not dry heaving in the presence of the shrub.

It's extemely unlikely Nancy Pelosi would ever be President.

I tend to agree but am reminded how unlikely it was that Nelson Mandella would become president of South Africa.

Our National Health service is open to the odd bit of abuse, but you can't have cosmetic surgery willy-nilly, you know, there are strict rules about that type of surgery. All treatment has to be approved by a doctor AND by guide lines set down by the government. There are treatments that just are not available and people have to them done privately. That includes Dental treatment also. Only the most severe or chronic orthodontic problems are covered by the NHS, if it's a bit of cosmetic *tidy up*, you have to pay for it.

Well, Ron and Popeye, you can discount my point of view, on one condition. You have to agree to shut the fuck up until I graduate from college, so I can buy that 200K house I really want, without paying 450K for it. After that, you can do whatever you want ... I can learn to deal with the ninty-three cent grapefruit. [8|][;)]

Next year, most likely, I will be able to buy foreclosure properties for a steal...

There is this quaint little Victorian style beach bungalow down near the harbor that I have my eye on...  Im waiting for the value to drop from 450k to 200k.

As a side note, has anyone noticed that neither the Dems nor Repubs are complaining about the Diebold voting machines?
They must have worked "perfectly" I guess!

True, thompson. I had actually typed out "there is absolutely no way Pelosi will ever be President".... [:D]... then I thought better and modified my post a bit.

Wasnt there a lawsuit filed demanding a vote recount because of voting machine irregularities in Florida?

I think this one was filed by the Republicans.

As the new Speaker of the House Pelosi should keep a "short leash" on the far left in her party unlike what the Republicans did letting the far right evangellicals run wild.
And this only having The House in session for 100 days per year stuff has to stop too!
It's a full time job and they're paid $165k per year to do it.

The presidential line of succession act ( Presidential Succession Act of 1947 (3 U.S.C. § 19).) states that...

If we remove Monkeyboy from office, then Shotgun becomes President.

If we then remove Shotgun from office, The Speaker of the House of Representatives (In this case Nancy Pelosi) becomes President.

She is two heartbeats (one with a bum ticker) away from being President.

I dont see it being unlikely at all.

Good points, popeye. There are those that would lump Pelosi in that "far left" group, but so far, so good, she's shown calm and clarity.

And $165,000 is too much pay for what we get. I'd like to see them work longer, and smarter, than what they do. And stop with the pork, and slipping things into huge bills at the last second.

This is correct, Sinergy, but I meant her getting there via an election.

Level, yes, that pork stuff just has to stop.
And also all the influence peddling from those "lobbyists" on "K" street!
At $165k per year these people are almost making as much as Sinergy!
