Count me in as one who votes for exploration...because when I engage in BDSM, I am exploring all those other lovely things you mentioned.  Now, in D/s or M/s it would be a different answer.  Sooooooooo, I am heading over to those polls.

Yeah, I know that wasn't one of the choices...so I voted for pleasure - of the mutual variety.  Exploration, power, and so many other things are part of pleasure, IMO.

I had to go with exploration, though for me all have some importance. I look upon BDSM and how it applies to my life and find to a great extent that it's an area which is relatively unknown and needs to be explored further.

For my relationship, BDSM is about energy.  Mistress's dominant energy and my submissive energy feed off one another, forming a relationship of power exchange, my service to Her, the respect for Her authority, the exploration of Her power's advancement, the pleasure of being the property of a gothic goddess, and a lot of play to keep us both entertained so that we can have the most mind-numbing, body twitching orgasms known to man! My vote is for exploration.

For me, it's about exploring the ability to let go and be controlled, to explore play in ways I never used to, to explore ways of expressing myself sexually without shame, exploring submission to an authority for whom I have the utmost respect, and exploring the exchange of power between me and my lovely Daddy.  [:)]
