Femdoms, what do you think of male submissives that have nicknames that are more like job descriptions?  Does it make you prejudge the submissive in some way? Do you feel more inclined to respond to a submissive with a "normal" nick like "richard 887" or reflection of a hobby like "lacrosseboy44" vs. a name like "buttsniffer" or "balls4fem2bust"?

I've seen a few femdom nicks that sound like "job descriptions" but not as many.  How would submissive men react to femdom nicks like "Fem2crushballs" or "Mistress4tinydicks" or "StrapOnGoddess" or "MylatexdickinURhole"...

Any other interesting nicks that could get special attention online?

Akasha

I've never met anyone from this site in person, but, I'm much more inclined to be intrigued by someone whose name doesn't sound like a job description...granted, I did send a message to a guy with a very 'job description-esque' name, but mainly because he lives in my area, is near my own age, and has a decent profile.  But, if I lived in a big area with a large BDSM community and could actually afford to pick and choose, I'd probably go with someone with a more respectable username.  I wouldn't have time to read all the profiles and so I'd have to pick which profiles to read solely by how much the username intrigued me...

Even though this site is of a sexual nature, I don't gravitate towards the nicknames that are blatently sexual or contain sexual innuendo. Color me old fashioned, but I prefer to get to know the man a little bit before exploring his bedroom antics.  Maybe it's just my bad luck, but it seems those job description nicknames are held by alot of 'do me' subs.  Before the flames begin.....yes I know there are exceptions to the rule.  Yes I know the statement is a generalization, BUT that has been my experience thus far.....so yes I prejudge.

With objective questioning techniques like this one, you might want to try professional polling.

Most often, I just find them amusing, sometimes I find them vulgar, sometimes downright wretch-worthy!

Nicknames for either men or women, regardless of role, that seem like trolling for sex or specific SM activies are an immediate turn-off to me.

I get to know a potentional submissive as a person first so I want something like a real name to use damnit.

You're one to talk....  As if "The" is not obviously trolling.......

Butt sear-iously, I always find it entertaining when people focus on their one fetish, especially when they realize they're not the only one and have to add a number (Oldspicedeodorizedarmpitfartsniffer69691976)

I don't disagree.  And for the record and for those who might wonder.  My last name is Smith (not Jones, lol).

I've done digital graphics since the mid 90's when it had barely begun and always considered myself akin to a blacksmith, and so I began using the name pixelsmith.  When business was heavy, I felt as though I was a "slave" to my work and thus I also began using the name of pixelslave, although I am in fact a sub.

For convenience, my on-line friends have always called me pixel, and those who have known me the longest usally call me pix for short.  So as you can see, my on-line name has nothing to do with D/s or BDSM despite what some might have thought! .

- pixel

As someone with a pixel fetish, this has been very disappointing to read.

I just thnk some people are not very creative. Take my name for example. Who in the world would go ooooh sophia37. I must know her. But maybe for me, thats the point. I kinda love my privacy. I never take the name too seriously. I figure I'll ask the person what it means if I need a conversation starter. lol That'll tell me whole lot more.

I think we should all take Native American-style names.  "She_Whips_Bitches", "Wears_the_Boots", "Pisses_on_Daddy".

Mine would be "Talks_Too_Much".

Well... with a nick like Missokyst it is hard to be objective here.  I am a masochist, that is true.  I am a miss.. yep I am.  But I didn't choose the nick to offer it as a lure for some sadist.  For me, it was a creative way to put up a picture of me without putting up an image.
I like creativity.  Calling myself aslut4rubber, would say a lot about what I do, but nothing about who I am, a pun loving creative person with a bent for words.
When someone messages me I tend not to answer the names that are lure obvious.
Oddly, I get more messages from sub maso males than from sadists.  A lot more.  They see my name and assume I am into hurting someone like them.  Which I may be as I am also a sadist... but they would have no way of assuming that.

Well, lets see.  My pets name is LoverForDomme... not a bad job description.
I have been inclined to answer quite a few of the mour outlandish names, just ebcsaue they amused me and I wanted to know how much the name relected the personality of the person using it. I prefer the pretty sounding ones, like Angel's, but when I am just poking around, I tend to respond to what they have written in their jouransl or profiles more than teir names.

Mine, I suppose, would be BlathersEndlesslyAboutStupidThings.

Although I was talked out of ElDuderino by my former submissive, who indicated that the word Dude in the BDSM world was associated with male homosexuals.

Here I was thinking of Jeff Lebowski, and not in a sexual way.

Whats up with that?
