ORIGINAL: DsGUARDIAN RSS, Are you against giving advice to newbies and mentoring? Alt.com Blog guidelines, second bullet point: Please refrain from: Harassing, threatening, degrading, intimidating, victimising, or abusing any individual or group. This includes hate based on a member’s age, gender, ethnicity, disability, religion or sexual orientation. Alt.com Terms of Use agreement: Paragraphs concerned with limitation of liability: 5(a) (b), 9, 10, 13 Paragraphs concerned with content on the site: 1(c), 4, 5, 6, 9 Of particular interest: The following is a partial list of the kind of content that is illegal or prohibited on the site - it includes content that: is patently offensive to the online community, such as content that promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual; harasses or advocates harassment of another person or invades their privacy; involves the transmission of "junk mail", "chain letters," or unsolicited commercial e-mail or "spamming"; promotes information that you know is false, misleading or promotes illegal activities or conduct that is abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory or libelous; promotes an illegal or unauthorized copy of another person's copyrighted work, such as providing pirated computer programs or links to them, providing information to circumvent manufacture-installed copy-protect devices, or providing pirated music or links to pirated music files; contains restricted or password only access pages, or hidden pages or images (those not linked to or from another accessible page); displays pornographic or sexually explicit material of any kind Note: Libel, defamation and abusive comment stated as being SPECIFICALLY prohibited. I would construe a warning, delivered through the Alt site, about a fellow member as being contradictory to this paragraph of the Terms of Use. What these people want to do is noble I suppose, but whilst they're doing it using Alt, it is demonstrably against their TOS and they could be banned. There's not much room for ambivalence there. The mystery, to me, is that they have some perfectly servicable webspace with all the tools they need to set up shop on their own without all those stringent regulations, but don't use it, despite their leader now being kicked off Alt twice.
